alta-pete
This applies to a lot of women. The one that immediately springs to mind is Judith Ralston who a lot of guys on here seem to salivate over. Not that there's anything wrong with it right enough - I am shallow enough to have been with a few females who I wouldn't have given a second glance if they hadn't had fantastic breasts. Eta: I've just remembered a chick I spent a few nights with in Peterborough a good few years ago who was the very definition of a BOBFOC/BOBFOK except my mate said she had the body of a Rolls Royce and the face of a Lada. Big Judith is the thick end of 50, knows how to dress well, has driven both buses and definitely has that cheeky twinkle. I doubt there’s much she’s not done. For us of a similar age, salivating over whoever is the current debutante who is half her age could only be seen as perving. Salivating over Judith?.......aaahh f**k I’ll give up now.

TheScarf
I can officially confirm that there are no Greggs in inverness, but several Harry Gows. There's actually a Gows next to my office, which is dangerous. Think there's 4 or 5 dotted around Inverness. The head office is in Culloden and the bakery in there is always heaving when I go in.

The sandwiches and rolls in Gows are excellent, but Deas pies are amongst the best I've tasted. The pies in Harry Gow are shite.
TheScarf
I'll concede the (Paul 'Diesel') Deas pie are very tasty.
ICTChris
The world would be a better place if every town had their own bakers that sold pies, sausage rolls etc rather than horrible bought in Greggs crap. I understand why global franchise brands are so popular but they also destroy any local character. I have travelled to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus a few times and there are literally no international chains there, as it's an unrecognised country. It's actually quite refreshing to be somewhere were there's absolutely no chains you recognise. We crossed the border at Nicosia and the main street there is full of Starbucks, KFC etc, you could be anywhere. Having said that I'm not sure the invasion, war and years of preceding ethnic conflict, cleansing and massacres on Cyprus were worth having somewhere with no Starbucks. But you know what I mean.

It’s the soulless fucking shopping centres or business parks that get me. A supermarket, a boots, a b&m stores, a cinema maybe, a fast food outlet and a frankie and fucking bennies for the goblins to feed in after their depressing shop. Repeat across the country.

Shopping centres will be next to go. Town (and even city) centres have become downgraded due to the move to out of town shopping but out of town shopping centres and retail parks are going to be hit by internet shopping. You can see it at places like the Gyle in Edinburgh, which has quite a few empty slots and plenty of other places around the country. Issue has to be what replaces these big spaces. Most town centres and high streets are now awful places cluttered with rubbish, charity shops, terrible pubs, pawn shops and gaggles of zombie faced drongos. What's going to happen to uneconomic out of town shopping centres?
