This loan deal was already set to happen before PH got asked to leave the building. If he can lead the line week in, we won’t really need him to do it week out. If we can stay within half a dozen points of 9th at the turn of the year, we have a fighting chance. Christ, that “if we can stay within half a dozen points of 9th” is now considered aspirational after all the crap we were fed at the end of last season. Quite amazing.

Reggie Perrin
We will be without Irving and Rudden for the challenge cup game due to under 19 Scotland duty......The main aim must be to have something resembling a functioning team on the park at Ayr the following week.
RC55 FFC
Disappointing not to have both Irving & Rudden available, that said, Ayr is the next important game. McKinnon is a sensible bloke & will have a formation/line up that I’m sure will have us looking more tight & competitive. Fingers crossed anyway...

Tri-TON
Is that right? I don’t doubt it will be difficult for an 18 year old to get us out of this mess. However if PH had him lined up why did he train with Morton all last week? He trained with Morton all last week because McKinnon used our facilities whilst going behind our backs, planning moves for his judas move. Another thing to add to the court case.

Russ
Wonder if McKinnon will try and bring any free agents in. A right back would be grand.Gary Irvine had a story on the BBC website few weeks ago about not having a new team yet. Would hardly be the most inspiring of signings but I’d definitely look at offering him a deal until January. The goals will come from Daniel TurnerLolIs he even still here? Can’t be worse than Haber Aye this. Haber has been shite so far. Not quite ‘Paul Paton’ levels of shiteness but shite all the same.
Bairn Necessities
Scotsman article from last week about free agents.. not sure if all are still without a club (Miller and Mulumbu obviously aren't), but can we sign 9 of them? https://www.scotsman.com/image-gallery/in-pictures-free-agents-1-4790847/4790848/img14790846

Black and White Tragic
Teams are pulling out mental results all over the place already in this league. Anyone, can beat anyone, eh?

Harry Kinnear
I looked at the league yesterday, hadn't been paying much attention to it as I knew what position we were in. Was really surprised the Fifers are only 3 points above us as I would have sworn they had won a couple of games. First day for Ray today, clean slate for the players but by f**k the finger needs to come out big time and they need to get us up that table pronto !!

He's by some distance the best player Falkirk have had in the past 30 years in my view. That doesn't mean he can flick the ball over someone's head and lash it in the top corner Stainrod played multiple years in the top flight scoring double figures goals in a few seasons. He Played in Europe and would've gone to Barcelona if it hadnt been for Venables being sacked there before he could sign him. Chris Waddle played in a champions league final and world cup semi final. Latapy won back to back championships with Porto and played in the champions league with them too. Its all conjecture but I certainly wouldn't say he was the best player of the past 30 years by some distance.
Guest
Can’t think of any Falkirk manager walking into a more screwed up situation. McKinnon is certainly going to have to have a cool head to sift through what he has inherited. As mentioned earlier, I just hope he doesn’t have to spend weeks and weeks trying out stuff that’s already failed spectacularly. Could well be that his specialist subject is sorting out basket cases and making them viable again. Good luck to him, as he takes on Hartley’s mess........probably the biggest challenge of his managerial career to date.
