Guest
I am just chuffed knowing that Cardle still thinks a week contains two Saturdays. That was an unexpected laugh.

Popular Post Bainsfordbairn
Some game tonight at Links Park. The Under 18s were playing Montrose in the Scottish Cup and got played off the park in the first half. They were lucky to go in only one-nil down. When Montrose got and converted a penalty early in the second half it looked all over. But the kids fought back, scored two and took it to extra time. With maybe five minutes to go at the end of extra time our keeper made up for conceding the penalty by producing what turned out a matchwinnning save. Then right at the end Falkirk got a freekick within range of their box. It was played in, somebody got a toe on it and we were 3-2 up. That turned out to be the last kick of the game. What a way to start the weekend. It'll be one am before I get home but it was worth it. John McGlynn was here and spoke to the boys in the dressing room afterwards. I listened in and from what he was saying it's obvious he has a good knowledge of the youth players and their strengths. Now, I if can watch the first team beat Kelty tomorrow and the girls do the same to Airdrie on Sunday I'll be a happy man.
Hank von Hell
Just to add to the fascinating debate: "In the space of 46 days, Leeds played 15 fixtures, an average of three per week". https://www.wsc.co.uk/stories/how-a-fixture-and-injury-pile-up-saw-leeds-finish-1969-70-empty-handed/

Wow what a coupe an unchanged side. Who would have thought
Springfield
Early start with a few bairns down for the game, in Glasgow’s west end, some fine breakfast rolls, accompanied by a few lovely pints of Scotland’s finest, a bit of chlllin, train and some more refreshments back home. Bring it on !
Grangemouth Bairn
I usually drive to watch the games but not today. Into Falkirk for 12pm, few beers then onto the game. Looking forward to it and in particular the game. I could get used to us being decent again.

Love when they think saying fact makes them correct even though it is irrelevant to what is being debated. That said, the one bit that people often confuse that can be irritating to pedants is when stating the time on the clock as the minute of the game. For instance, 89:01 on the clock is in the 90th minute and not the 89th. Never thought about it till Simunovic scored with 67 on the clock on the week of Billy McNeils death. Was working that day and it was reported as scoring in the 67th minute but some pointed out it was actually the 68th minute.
