If football was just about pointing and shouting Paul Paton would be a global icon of the game. As it is his basic skills aren't up to much he's slow and doesn't offer any leadership, mediocre at best.

Him thinking he's too good for us is fine by me.

See the pars picked up the lad Turner from Stranraer also, felt that's the sort of player we should be after, along with the Paton at stenny. Both good young players with potential that have stood out at L1 level and are looking to step up.

By my reckoning we need at least 3 strikers, one winger, 2 cbs (that can cover fb) and both fb/wb positions. Plus a keeper. That 9 players for a bare minimum squad. By the end of next week.

Be interesting to see who else comes in, after the bread and circus signing of Tidser and Buchanan

We should be looking at Mutch , Laverty and Dunne staking a claim to a first team jersey next season. If they are not playing or on the bench then they should be let go to try and get a start elsewhere else. They have talent and if they have sense they will play to make the position their own. Would like to see them get a start to prove themselves.

Why are Falkirk going above and beyond with money for Ray McKinnon? Even if you don't think he's a diddy that should be punted post-haste, he's clearly not worth taking any financial risks with.
Club is being run in a very bizarre way just now.
Pot, Kettle, Black?

While I agree with most of this, isn't Koszary the one success from this lot?
Well the information I was given was that he and Andy Thomson were the ones who facilitated the stalling of Kenny and Davids bid and went soliciting new ones.

Allied to that, he is one of them so he is fully complicit should the outcome be that the fans bid(s) fail and we end up owned by some random foreign consortium. Whilst that may work out well short term, these people will obviously not have their interests aligned with ours.

So aye, Koszary can gtf too. Dont give a f**k how many Hippolyte Haggis suppers got sold, he is one of them .

That is a very weird thing to put in a statement.

"We worked out how much we can spend without losing money. Then the gaffer asked for more money. So we gave it to him."

Prudent.

The directors are personally funding the additional budget so it won’t affect the club’s finances.

Pretty clear that they are expecting that money to be paid back by the new owners, which presumably will come from a budget, rather than a magicians hat, you bootlicking, servile arsehole.

That's not how it reads, the statement implies that the manager needs more money which the new owners should pay for but the current board will plug the gap in the meantime and expect to gt it back post takeover.

Therefore it will obviously affect club finances as the new board will owe the current board this money, Unless you're right and they are a selfless lot who're donating the money without hope of return?

I admit though it's a positive thing for us to have the budget sooner rather than later to get a full team in place.

They already have ‘donated’ significant sums to the club. In any case, the new owners will be injecting major sums that will cover any spending required.

Very harsh, but extremely fair!

If football was just about pointing and shouting GREGOR buchanan would be a global icon of the game. As it is his basic skills aren't up to much he's slow and doesn't offer any leadership, mediocre at best.
