Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Recommended Posts

Anyone else notice the P&B berrz finally realising the job's fúcked? All the arrogance and pep has drained right out of them recently. They seem to be dealing with it in one of a few ways:

a. Dropping in every week or so just to prove they're still around,

b. Ripping off the "reasonable" mask and going into full "peepul" mode (rare, this, but entertaining. Mostly newer/returning orcs for this one),

c. Going "away" on "holiday",

d. Allowing the obsession with celtic to finally take over - Finding green and white mechandise in Kilmarnock's Tesco must be like playing "where's Wally".

Anyway, back on topic:

"We very much hope that we can now move away from having to seek short term funding solutions and can focus our efforts towards investing in the first team playing squad, a return to profitability and to re-establishing Rangers in the top league in Scottish Football and in due course, to European competition."

I hope there's an Aston Martin parked on my drive tomorrow, with the keys shoved through the letterbox for me. :)

Aye It's a really tough gig at the moment, there's very little available to argue back with on these pages in the current situation against an overwhelming majority who want to see us finished completely.

Just when you think we can't fall any further we somehow do our level best to give you more easy ammunition. Resilience is tested to the core, it would with any football fan.

I still firmly believe however we will eventually turn the corner, unite the support and take our club back. It could take another 5 years maybe 10 but I ain't going anywhere in the meantime.

The fantastic support at Ibrox on Sunday for Ricksen showed we can still pull together, it's not too late to have a real go at it again. No one's going to do it for us.

What cost cutting have actually done, three or four admin staff?

Meanwhile millionaire players (and kit man) are still pocketing thousands week after week.

They deserve everything is undoubtably coming to them, very soon, again.

I hope they spunk this latest loan on a couple of new signings from the Newcastle reserve squad.

Walter says...

"I haven't missed the Old Firm game but Scottish Football has. "

Cannae do them on my phone, so could someone supply my post with appropriate Smilies please?

Think The Cardigan has lost the plot!!....lol Sadly for all Sevco fans, Glasgow's big derby is now Celtic v Thistle. Both teams with unbroken history from 1876 and 1888. Edited by Sting777

Campbell - Where Are You ?

Hiding in a (very) large cupboard.

Stewart - Where Are You ?

Still reading, and failing to care, about the loan statement.

Neil - Where Are You ?

Playing with his toys in the same cupboard as Campbell.

For as long as this is the case with a significant number of Rangers fans, Mike Ashley or AN other spiv will make money out of your sorry excuse for a football club.

The "history" is going to be your downfall.

Trying to make sense of what's happening here ( I know I should just stop here)

Rangers are to borrow £10m from Mike Ashley £3m of it to repay current loan to Mike Ashley

While Rangers Retail now 75% owned by Mike Ashley declare a dividend of £1.6m which will be used to repay money owed to Sports Direct owned by Mike Ashley.

Seems to be a lot of money shuffling

I think most of us realise that at some point there will be a team playing out of Ibrox who will be finishing near, and eventually at, the top of Scottish football and the posturing and swagger from the supporters of that team will blitz the arrogance that the built the levels of Shadenfreude that we're seeing just now.

(Some will argue that no matter what 'Rangers' do their 'friends' will ensure that happens.)

The irony is, of course,(and I'm sure it's not lost on you) that 'Rangers' could have come out of this absolutely stinking rich, with a young but experienced team ripping up the leagues and providing the foundation of a cracking squad for many many years to come. It's fucking hilarious from the outside that they didn't!

This whole saga will haunt the club/company for the rest of it's days though and opposing supporters will gleefully remind you of them - it will never ever really go away :)

It is hilarious,

I will lend you £10M, but only half of that now.

Of that £5M you get now you will repay me the £3M you already owe me,

So that gives you £2M in bank, and today is payroll day, bank account empty by tomorrow.

And I get all the assets and retail income, and my next month you will be begging for the other £5M.

He has basically bought total control without buying anything, just lending them more and more and more………..

Mike Ashley is the biggest payday loan shark every.

It is masterpiece of spiv business practice that will be taught in classes one day.

At what point does the Cockwomble & Co call Them back in and ask,

Are you trading as insolvent yet.?

There is no way they can possibly show how they can repay this debt,

Unless MA offers them a bigger loan and they only have one thing left to secure it against........Ibrox PMSFL

borrowing from Peter to pay Paul was the Murray way.

Now it borrow from Michael to pay Mike.,

The jakits at the SPFL & SFA are a bunch of goons, the atrocity of this business should have shut down a few months ago, but since the draw of the League cup, I've seen nothing that would stop this game going ahead, it's the rebirth of Scottish Football as we used to know it........dontcha no!!!

Where the real Rangers men when they need it most, counting coppers I believe, while young Ashley is pumping ass. Enjoy the ride.

Therein lies the rub.

I've seen some argue that DeidCo Rangers were technically insolvent during much of Murray's reign. Who else had their hand on the tiller during this time ? Campbell Ogilvie did.

So Ogilvie's Law states the following :-

"Traded insolvently then, trading insolvently now, always trading insolvently (so long as I'm SFA heidhoncho)"

I gave up following this story ages ago so can someone do me a favour?

Explain to me how if Mike Ashley is putting all this money into Rangers why its to his benefit if Rangers go under? If he has put millions of pounds in and the fans boycott the club or don't buy merchandise and the club collapses again how does Ashley come out of this in favourable terms?

Because the retail contract says Rangers have to pay for unsold stock, so he gets paid either way. He also now holds security over most assets meaning if they do default he owns everything of value associated with TRFC.
