Walking Down The Halbeath Road

6’2 striker, just turned 21. Scored 4 goals in 19 games on loan at Southport (National League North) in the first half of the season and 3 in 20 games in the same league 2 years ago.

From a look at Southport FC forum he seemed popular and well liked.

Looking forward to seing what he can do!

Out of contract at Blackpool in the summer. If he plays well, I’m sure a contract will be offered by us. Similar situation to Fagan-Walcott. Seems like we’re kind of using the loan deal as a trial.

Hope he does well but I can't remember ever being as underwhelmed at a signing before. Wish we'd no bothered. Clearly skint.

6ft 2, that’s our Todorov replacement/alternative.

sometimes it’s not so much about what the signing brings on the park, but this might light some fire under the feet of the other strikers.

Good luck to the laddie, welcome and fingers crossed he does well.

The Courier reporting we're "running the rule" over Josh McPake. Would be a good signing, done well with QP last season.

Sounds like a bit of homework done on Holmes, mentions us seeing him when watching Moffat initially and McPake has spoken to Steven Dobbie about him.

What are folk expecting in the January window? It's almost always loans at this level.

Seems the club can't win. Fans are saying to make signings, the club do, fans are saying the signings are underwhelming.

Aye its a bit of a meh signing but to be honest, about 80% of our loan signings have been decent. Will reserve judgement until we see the boy in action.

McPake has recruited pretty well, so we should have confidence in his judgement.

It doesn’t seem to be any more of a ‘meh’ signing than Fisher, Otoo, KRH and Moffat were at the time. All turned out to be decent enough. Hopefully the boy does well and earns himself a longer stay at EEP.

Josh McPake in training just now according to the courier

We’re considering signing someone a J McPake, who also happens to be a former Dundee player? Oh wow, some people will have a meltdown about that.
