Sons' sorrow

Well this is a welcome addition to our play, scoring from corners.

There also appeared to be what commentators would dub a "training ground move" from a free kick in the first half. Seems to be a better approach than our usual hit it and see what happens.

We also looked to win the ball back quickly by using the ancient art of tackling.

I dunno how many times we just stood off the opposition in recent years and allowed them time and space to pretty much do what they want.

That combined with being a danger from set pieces is 2 things we've been greatly lacking. Against the better teams set pieces can be absolutely crucial.

I spotted that, double flick on?nearly worked

How easy will it be getting the ref to attend training each week though, to work on his part?

We've had two very good managerial appointments in the last few years, what with Murray saving our hides and turning us round, and now Aitken - who I'd rate as the best Part-Time Managerial prospect out there - showing early signs of being an excellent Manager.for us.

For all their faults, the Board have excelled in these last two appointments, so a little credit should be given to them for that.

Definitely.

For a Club of our size (support wise etc) Alan Jardine & Gilbert et al have taken us to heady heights these past 5 or 6 years.

Take it the Stranraer game at New Tinto Park isn't on anymore? Not on the fixture list and this was at the bottom of the 'BUSY DAY FOR THE GAFFER' post.

Sons next game is against Clydebank on Saturday 18th July at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.

Was wondering the same, it's as if it was never announced, maybe it's a closed door game.

Guest TOPFITTER

Was near the area so went and checked out new tinto park, it's not complete yet and I was able to get right on the park.

So anyone who wants to watch tomorrow's game can easily.

So! can anyone confirm if this is "Closed Doors" or Not ? If indeed it is, is it still possible to watch without being prevented from doing so? Google Street View would suggest viewing will be possible whatever the decision of the Clubs !!!!

God knows, been mixed information from our side. Our website is normally excellent for keeping us up to date so dunno what's happened here, no one seems to know what's going on.

On another note - it would be good to get a meet the manager organised with Stevie. Anyone heard if we're planning one?

Might make him resign tbh

"Stevie, why didn't you wave at us. It made us all really upset, Bryan Prunty always waved at us"?
