Day 1 of Week 13 of the New League... and it's the usual suspects leading the charge, with the newcomers struggling to cope with life in the top flight.

And in the Beazer Homes League... it's the usual suspects at the top! Don't think we've ever had 0/10 from two teams on the same day, so that's something to be proud of DHD and Gman!

Kicking myself over the Canadian question. Since I've been several times and pride myself on this sort of question, I sat and wrote them all down. Took a while.

Note to self. Nebraska is not, and never has been, in fucking Canada.

Whenever I'm asked a question like this in a pub quiz - to give a recent example - how many chemical elements start with an 'N'?, I (or we) try to write them all down, then we invariably worry that we've missed one. Hence the frequent adoption of the '+ 1 Rule' (it's very often one more than you think, though with the proviso that on a small set this is less likely to apply). My 50/50 deliberation was down to whether to apply the rule or not. Luckily I went the right way.

Breaking all the rules

...pleased that my efforts in attempting to memorise some Japanese island facts paid off.

Aye so what was 'the right way'?
