Normal service has been resumed. 4 out of 10.

And that University Challenge quiz made me cry. 2 out of 20. And one of those questions was me being generous to me.

edit: wtf is it with this Aussie quiz asking questions about novels written in the last year? I've got around 1,000 years of literature to be catching up on, and it constantly bombards me with books written last week. p***ks.

I really don't think this is the right time for you to join Frankie S's international jetsetting quizzers fraternity. Just accept your status as an A1 shithot administrator and an honest toiler in the lower leagues. 3/10 by the way.

If we're going for reconstruction then why not make it more interesting by having 11 up/11 down plus a play-off?

6/10 for Tuesday's quiz. Knew first three plus Kola, guessed book and President.

Oh for those halcyon days when the quiz kicked off a bit after Australian sparrows' fart.

Looking forward to the new leagues... can we have new cups please?

Realistically, the likes of me are never going to win the main cup. I just dream of a big away tie at WhiteRoseKillie to tell the grandchildren about.

I'd like a League Cup for the top flight, Challenge Cup for second tier, and Diddy Cup for the bottom league, please.

Hopefully this shouldn't be too much of a problem for the Cardinal now he's settled in his new job [emoji12]

If I was going to join one of them, which would you recommend? (as you can see from my league and cup performances, I very much blow hot and cold!).

Both of these leagues work on a referral system, and I (or another member) would have to personally know (and vouch for) the person referred. Learned League is an American League and is very US-centric. 2020 is based in the U.K., but is international in outlook. Both of them attract the top ranked quizzers from across the world, so the competition is tough, to say the least. I tend to languish in the lower leagues (having suffered recent relegations in both leagues recently), down among the mere mortals of the quizzing fraternity, while the titans of the quizzing scene squabble over the honours in the upper echelons.

There are monthly qualifying quizzes (proctored 100 question quizzes) in Edinburgh and Glasgow, which get you onto the ladder for both national (UK) and international rankings, and in due course can lead to referrals for these online leagues. If you are interested in getting involved, feel free to PM me and I'll supply details.
