peasy23
6/10 for Friday, knew 3, guessed 3. Nailed the Aussie sport again.
Cardinal Richelieu
Well this could be contentious. Due to the Australian making a f**k of things, there are technically zero, one or two correct answers for one of the questions. Some of the teams have claimed their extra point for going for the correct answer (which was marked as incorrect). Whereas others have not - either cos they didn't know about the error, they didn't care, or cos they went for another answer. This could have a real bearing on champions / promotions and relegations. So... which of the following would be fairest... 1) The answer (and therefore score) given by the Oz is "correct". Tough titties on anyone who guessed the real correct answer. 2) Scores should be adjusted to mark people down (if they got the question wrong (but marked right by Oz)) or up (if they got it right but marked wrong by Oz). But not everyone has declared. 3) Scores should be adjusted to mark up people for people who didn't receive the score, but did get the question right. However, However, those who received the "correct" answer from Oz will keep their point. Again, not everyone has declared. 4) Disregard the question and nobody gets a point for the question. 5) Delete the entire P+B Quiz Thread and forget I started this whole sorry post.

MSU
I'd be tempted just to use the scores that people declared.
Jacksgranda
4/10, including the wrong right answer. Knew 2, 2 & 10. Correct guesses for Playboy contributor, although nearly sure of that, and of course the wrong right answer.
Bully Wee Villa
All you can do is use what people declared. If people feel they were cheated out of a point and add one for themselves, or admit to gaining an unfair point and deduct one, then so be it. The whole quiz is based on trust, after all. We could all just pretend we got 10/10 every day.

ThisI openly admit I had no idea on the answer, I guessed, was wrong, could've been right, didn't include it in my score cause I was wrong!

We chose to do the Aussie quiz so the convict ref is always right. No exceptions. People who knew the real world answer should have predicted that the Aussies would have got it wrong. They're probably doing the quiz half cut from an Earls Court doss house anyway. Edited March 30, 2017 by welshbairn
LiviLion
7/10 for Thursday 4/10 for Friday, didn't get the wrong one, demand a bye to the final in the cup as compensation. Just googled the wrong one and Google gives the same answer as the Australian, so they must have changed it anyway Bye to the final would still be nice. supermik
4/10. Got the wrong question "correct" so put me down for a 3/10.
welshbairn
A fair way would be that if you got the real world answer from Brisbane to Fiji, or the official Aussie answer, you get a point. Otherwise zilch.

Swarley
Sorry I'm late, chaps. Not worth the wait, in all honesty. Five for Thursday, and a honking four for Friday. Bah. The East Swaringshire dressing room are thinking this cup tie is coming at the right time. Fast forward to a 10-0 hounding! Friday - 3, knew 1. Edit to add; I got the controversial question wrong so if everyone is getting an extra point then I'm up to 4.[emoji6]

People who knew the real world answer should have predicted that the Aussies would have got it wrong. They're probably doing the quiz half cut from an Earls Court doss house anyway. Agreed. Rule one - the question master is always right.Rule two - if the question master is wrong, see rule one.(No idea what I put, btw -not that it matters)
Cardinal Richelieu
Aye, I think the consensus is that the Australian is right, even if they're wrong. Let's be honest, when we agreed to continue with the Convict Quiz (hat tip to Welshbairn), we have to abide by their silly questions and lackadaiscal checking of facts. And as I said, it's a bollocks question anyway ... who knows what mounds of rock each country lays claim to. No mention of mainlands in the question. So I'll go with option 1 which also means I don't have to sift through teams' posts deciphering whether they should get the extra point or not. AFJ won't be happy, but like Linfield - he should be happy with second place.
Eednud
If you google shortest distance between USA or Canada or India and Fiji they all come up with a starting point that is nowhere near the coast but well inland. Despite that it's my fourth 5/10 of the week with the Fiji one wrong. Knew Sunshine Coast, Egypt flag & Liberia. Guessed author and PMs.
Arabdownunder
5/10 Accept the referees decision then spend the entire weekend complaining about it. Its the PnB way.
