betting competition Posted April 15, 2018 Share Posted April 15, 2018 I hope the offer of a new contract to O’Connor will be taken off the table - not because of that comment (could care less what thick footballers think) but because the performances from him have not be the standard we require.No doubt a few more Aberdeen fans will turn on the manger but I’m still backing him. I believe a decent season is qualifying for Europe, anything else is unacceptable. If he does fail then I think he deserves another chance next season as the previous 4 have been good. A panic selection at Fir Park after the Lge Cup debacle. Tansey Hung out to dry and shipped out. That’s why we have pish like Nwakali and AOC in MF. Width ?????? Bottle and Drive when Shinnie not there ?????? Not even mentioned some of the other signings: Zola, Tait, Monakana, Parker, McLaughlin, Also signing Goodwillie divided opinion given his off the field behaviour. McInnes keepa his job because we are better than a McGhee or Brown team, with Hibs/Hearts out the top tier and Rangers dying though ? He has got it all to prove pre-season imo. Certainly wouldn’t have got that from our last few managers. Can’t really start bringing up cheap squad filler pish like Parker and McLaughlin to use against him, and not acknowledge the good signings he’s made who remain as mainstays of the first team now. Having decent squad filler is the issue. As Saturday showed. Pre season we thought he had signed too many attacking players. But he’s spent all season playing 6 or 7 defenders every week. POTY at St Mirren potentially according to a mate. McKenna in the first team was a complete fluke. Only played because McInnes changed the CB after the Lge Cup game. Now an international and captained the team. Tansey should have got more time instead of punted after a couple of poor performances and made a scapegoat. McLean got away with it for long enough after all. Crowd would have been more forgiving losing with a proper RB and CM from the development squad rather than the shite played out of position yesterday. Even if they weren’t 100pc. We have no MF so why play Nwakali and AOC instead of risking GMS and McGinn ? Yet again he played a side to keep out Motherwell and play safe.
