DukDukGoose
I wake up having forgotten St Mirren FC exist. Then I open an Aberdeen thread on here.

Aberdeen fan comes on and casts up random statement from 41 years ago to poke St. Mirren fans.. Nothing random about it - there was context due to an unprovoked ‘not famous anymore’ snider by a St Mirren fan. Merely pointing out that despite being relative nonentities, your club did leave one calling card with those beyond these shores in the form of giving one Dutch superstar an evening he’s apparently never forgotten.

If you honestly think this type of abuse has never occurred within an Aberdeen support then that’s up to you. Racism like any other discriminatory abuse needs to be completely eradicated from our football. Aberdeen fans mentioning “calling cards”? Total angels in the 80s.
coprolite
Anyway, what will a technical director do at the club, exactly? Support the DoF apparently, but then what's he do and what support will he need?

I’m afraid he will look lost against Celtic at Hampden, as in reality he is out of his depth. Granted he has improved but that was from a really low level. I hate John Beaton with a passion. He didn’t look out of place against some top teams in Europe.

Celtic likely to have McGregor & Hatate available. A midfield of McGregor, Hatate & O’Riley will rinse Barron, Phillips & Polvara I too fucking hate John Beaton. An inexplicable decision (other than him being a hopeless c**t). Then again, GS disn’t help by complaining to the fat clown.
lubo_blaha
I don’t like the blame being pinned on the referee for Shinnie missing the Semi. He’s 32 years old and our club captain. He should know better than to harangue the officials when he’s a booking away from missing the next round, no matter how ridiculous the decision was. He needs to take responsibility.

He’s no one to blame but himself.
Scooby_Doo
Shinnie always harangues officials from the first whistle to the last. He might have had some leeway with Beaton if he hadn't been in his ear the whole game.

tarapoa
This is quite an interesting website - especially discovering that Adam Le Fondre is on 20 times the weekly wage of Connor Barron. https://salarysport.com/football/scottish-premiership/aberdeen/

DrewDon
But seriously, the play-off will be on the season ticket, right?
BucksburnDandy
The board and players really have to take a hard look at themselves. The board for continually making an absolute mess of things. Absolutely squandered the relatively reasonable position McInnes left us in (let's not go over old ground, we were 4th and continually up the right end of the table). This season has been an absolute fucking shambles. The warning signs were there post split last season and the defeat to Hacken was a huge red flag. Persisted with Robson too long when it was obvious to all by the end of October that he wasn't the man. The Warnock appointment was a spectacular f**k up that has pushed us from a top six scrap to a genuine relegation playoff dogfight. Responsibility lies with Cormack, Burrows and "Gunner". Hid behind the club review as opposed to making a proper appointment post Robson. As for the players. Produce a good performance once in a blue moon then revert to half arsed nonsense. A group of players who take no pride in their work and now their confidence is shot to bits, are in a total spiral. A thoroughly dislikeable, mentally weak group who need massive surgery in the summer, again. Tl;Dr seething, raging and on the verge of tears stuff from someone who was always a critic of Cormack. Championship football will need grafters.

This is a time when supporters really need to rally behind the team. Aberdeen are currently in a poor position but a few positive results and you’ll climb up the table. Your club needs your full backing every match until the season is over. Good luck.
