Mr Rational
Yes. Although it was Glenrothes and Windygates/Kennoway that saw the first Fife SNP councillors away back.

Mr Rational
It's like Labour have given up. If they can't win Glenrothes or even come close, what chance do they really have? I would be looking for a glass of whisky and a revolver if I was in labour tonight.

Fide
Glenrothes West (Fife) result: SNP - 55.3% (+26.0) LAB - 35.8% (-8.5) CON - 4.4% (-0.4) UKIP - 3.2% (+3.2) LDEM - 1.3% (-1.3)
ArmadaleKillie
Seat was an SNP one but it was the third seat won under STV. Big problem here is the independent.. think we will easily overhaul labour but the indie has built up a decent support and we already have an indie "loved" by the electorate. By election caused by death of popular local councillor. Not usually fertile territory for gaining seats.

P45
Ooft! Glenrothes West (Fife) result: SNP - 55.3% (+26.0) LAB - 35.8% (-8.5) CON - 4.4% (-0.4) UKIP - 3.2% (+3.2) LDEM - 1.3% (-1.3) The Libe Dems 1.3% equated to 61 votes. They are going to need a bigger swingometer at the BBC!! UKIP got twice as many votes as the Lib Dems. Pure riddy.
