Peppino Impastato
A prospective PM who's banned from voting on English-only matters, or would she move to England (which would require a change of heart)? She's said repeatedly she doesn't want to live in England... she'll do what her bosses in London tell her
Granny Danger
I'm fairly certain that I saw a clip on the news saying that Labour had got more votes than the Tories in the last round of elections, that's despite their dismal performance in Scotland. I'm assuming now that his 'colleagues' in the PLP will now recognise that this was a decent result and now support him.
Thumper
Some Tories on twitter murmuring things about Ruth Davidson as a future leader. It's almost a done deal that she's going to WM in 2020. The only question is will she stand in the seat currently held by David Mundell, or will she be parachuted into one of the home counties where the weigh the Conservative majority? She could win Edinburgh South, hive of right-wing shitebags that it is. Corbyn will be in charge in 2020. I cannot wait for the long knives to come out when it comes time for selection. I cannot wait for the long knives to come out when it comes time for selection. Edinburgh South is a labour seat. I'm not saying the tories couldn't win it (especially if ruthie proves to be a popular constituency MSP) but if she was their leader and going for prime minister they'd need to be certain they'd win the seat

Interestingly I wonder who will take over the Scottish Tories up here. Will be a difficult gig after Davidson due to how well she's objectively done with them. Wonder if it might be Mundell's son? Relatively youngish, and well connected which will surely help in the Tory party.

People aren't voting for Quirky, Fun-Loving Ruth Davidson: they're voting for a faded, w**k-encrusted photo of Winston Churchill. Two years of Quirky, Fun-Loving Ruth Davidson just made them feel a little less guilty about it. The cat is out of the bag now.

Stood in Cathcart this year and someone posted a pic of him in the live thread calling him the Tory Ad Lib I used to know the chap a bit and iirc he's been an active Conservative activist since he was 11 or 12 years old

Sherrif John Bunnell
So he put about as much effort into the referendum campaign as West Germany and Austria managed in the 1982 World Cup. Is this the time for him to be punted?

Bully Wee Villa
I'm not sure how we come back from here to be honest. I want a Socialist alternative to the Tories but there doesn't seem to be any appetite for it in England (which decides elections). Working people would rather blame immigrants for all the World's problems than look at changing the system that created them. Corbyn has had to deal with the most hostile press ever but has still, even with that qualification, totally failed to get his or any sort of message across. The powers that be in the party will prevent another left-winger taking charge and I'll leave, along with many hundreds of thousands who joined after the last election, if they go back to being Tory Lite. I've no idea how Labour can win again in the next fifteen-twenty years.

I've no idea how Labour can win again in the next fifteen-twenty years. I suspect they will appoint a new leader with the assumption that all will be fine again after a while, before realising that this problem runs far, far deeper than one bearded man. Deflecting blame onto others has been a habit for Labour for a good few years now though, so it's no surprise.
DeeTillEhDeh
This is the problem when you appoint someone who has spent most of their political career being an oppositionalist rather than being a leader. Corbyn is a useless excuse of a leader. The thing is - none of the alternatives scream out as leadership material either.
Ya Bezzer!
The next Labour leader might as well be a feather duster. The Labour party is completely and irrevocable finished.
invergowrie arab
I was glad Corbyn got in. 1. Because it was funny 2. I thought it might shift the centre ground in politics leftward. But he has been fucking useless. I don't think I could even tell you what his voice sounds like, he isn't some mad trot he is just fucking anonymous and it's not good enough for the leader of the opposition.
