I'm more aggrieved about them having Jack Butland backing Paul Lambert's approach at Stoke City in the Scottish football section. BBC Sport Scotland promoting every English football story that has any connection with a Scottish player or manager seems to be a thing that only started this season, unless I wasn't paying attention before. The other one yesterday was that ludicrous Steve Evans quote about wanting to be the next Celtic manager. We all know there's a shitload more money in English football nowadays, and even our bigger clubs have to shop at lower levels than before, but that was taking the piss. We were told a few times before today they were going to meet yesterday soo it's not even news. Right, so they met, we knew they were going to. And? What happened? That's not a story, that's confirming a diary appointment took place. If there was any actual story in the McTominay situation it's that he was also meeting the England manager today. The only story to come out of McLeish meeting McTominay will be when the player announces which country he's going to play for.
