The Terrible Journalism & Tom English Thread

"Have a f**k, I'll just go on Wikiquote. "

"Some Japanese lad wiz he no?"

That’s precisely what happened. All Asians look the same, don’t they? Nobody will notice.

The Daily Record calling Sun Tzu Japanese is one of my favourite things in this thread. Spectacular.

You just know fine well Keith Jackson will, rather than call out the "journalist" in question, laugh about it and put it in his  Daily Record sports department Christmas letter as a "oh the banter" moment.

It's actually quite funny following these "journalists" on twitter and watching them being schooled in journalism by the very bampots they  deride.

Jonathan "Short Bus" MacFarlane. :whistle

And we thought nothing could get worse than the crap BBC 'Scotland' put out.

Given how much the media likes reporting what Scots down south are up to, it's amazing that McGhee effectively being sacked as Barnet manager after just two months didn't seem to be covered. Almost as good as bugger all about Archie Knox messing up the Scottish Cup draw earlier in the season. They like bringing up the SFA guy who messed it up a few years back though. Presumably Archie being one of the famous "fitba men" means the fact he couldn't tell a 6 from a 9 is irrelevant.

BBC boys and girls down by the river having an absolute nostalgia wankfest over 1990s Rangers this week. The Cardigan for Scotland; McCall, newly canned from Bradford, giving said Cardigan a right royal rimjob; Barry and his first Old Firm game.

Deep joy.

Apparantly Mark McGhee was Barnet manager.  Shows how much I pay attention to shite clubs in the English lower divisions

Jesus, so that's what McCoist is up to now? In theory, he ought to have a little bit of working knowledge about the Scottish lower leagues, so it might be worth listening in to hear his views.

haha, no, it'll be glory to the old firm and pub leagues agogo.

Spot on. I only found out about McGhee from watching the C5 Goal Rush programme.
