Fuctifano
With the trajectory the signings are going I'm expecting Mitch Austin on a 3 year deal to be the 4th.

JudgeMudge
When you’re told it’s four signings, you start thinking about all sorts of possibilities, including lots of unrealistic ones. Gordon and MacIver are fine. Not outstanding but neither is a disaster. Young enough to get better. Would we be happier to hear that we’ve signed an English non-league player we’ve never heard of?!

Yeah! Like Sean McGinty?

oneteaminglasgow
I’d convinced myself it was a new deal for Penrice, so this is most welcome news.
cilitbang
When players aren’t good enough for the league below, why we wasting a 1yr deal on them one league higher? We know how it’s going to end.. Would rather gamble on unknowns who might turn out good rather than guaranteed waste of resources.

third lanark
Turner seems a very decent signing, thought he would be going to a premier league team. He came through the Thistle Weir Academy and his dad is Tommy Turner who used to play for us
Jacky1990
Delighted with Turner. Foster makes sense. Willing to give MacIver a chance since he's still young and likely to only ever be back up. But baffled Shea Gordon has re-signed. He's a man down 90% of the time.

On reflection I'm OK with MacIver being 3rd or even 4th choice striker but the signing of Turner makes it even less likely Gordon will play. Overall a good day's transfer business. Some wingers and a new keeper next please.

If I’m massively clutching at straws, Gordon is still fairly young as well and with, at the very least, Bannigan, Docherty and now Turner ahead of him we could probably do worse for squad filler. Still not thrilled about him signing though. Edit: and agree with Fuctifano. Wingers and a keeper who isn’t called Jamie Sneddon next, please. RandomGuy.
Turner is a great move by Partick, but a strange one by Turner. Had a couple of top flight sides with a decent interest in him, if you include Hearts. Instead of taking that jump he's spending yet another season in the second tier, so will now be just shy of 25 before he has a chance to play top flight football, either with Partick or if he moves on next Summer. Time is a ticking for him.

Gordon is fair enough because he splits opinion regardless of what league he plays in and maybe it is a bit of a risk signing him again even as a squad player. But I think you’re being slightly harsh on MacIver, he knows he’ll be 3rd/4th choice and certainly has ability. Time for him to kick on develop.
Nightmare
Very happy with the signing of Turner. There weren’t many players who really stood out individually this season in League One, but he was definitely one of them. Dunfermline fans don’t seem too gutted he’s gone and they’ll have seen plenty of him at Championship level, so he’s obviously not the finished article, but based on what I saw of him this season I’m optimistic. A decent day’s work. Really hope we can get Tiffoney over the line in the next few days.
JagsCG
Considering Turner apparently had Premiership & Championship clubs after him, it’s a very good bit of business. Seems like one McCall had huge aspirations about getting in the door too.
Big Jocks Chewin The Fat
Glad to see we are signing a lot of younger players and building a team. Gordon & McIver i have to admit i was a tad meh on but they have time to come right and a 1 year deal to prove that is smart business. The older head in Foster is good to have around the place and Turner should be a decent acquisition. How nice is it to actually be doing our business early! -
oneteaminglasgow
Just watched the video with McCall - “hopefully this week we’ll be able to announce somebody that the fans will be quite happy with” Also sounds like we were in for McCowan but couldn’t compete with the Dundee clubs offers.
