Let's face it, McCall is not getting patched in the week leading up to a big cup tie.

I am not even sure he will be jettisoned before the end of the season.

Graham probably doesn't have another season with his back issues and just getting older.

He would probably be in the running, I am not sure of I'd be particularly happy if/ when he gets the job.

Agree on all points and makes McCalls decision to give Graham a 2 year deal in the summer even more puzzling.

We sacked Caldwell meaning McCalls first game was celtic at Parkhead.

Said last week the season was over unless we totally collapse and end up in a relegation battle, which could still happen but likelihood is we'll scratch out a couple of wins and stay up. Getting rid now would at least give any new manager a chance to assess the squad ahead of next year.

Suspect the finances will dictate he stays for now though.

That was a diddy league cup game...he will probably keep his job as long as we are in touch of the playoffs.

Does anyone know how long the management team are under contract for? I've heard a rolling contract and seem to remember a three year deal being awarded a couple of years ago?

Not sure how much assessment a squad needs at this level? 20 or so jobbers with a couple of youth players?

We certainly don't seem to make the most of our resources.

Is there any use of sport science aside from the GPS vests?

Said last week I will say it again Lennon would get a reaction on and off the park

Both reactions being "get the f**k away from my club you odious c**t".

Neil Lennon could be the second coming of Alex Ferguson and I still wouldnt want him anywhere near it.

Not that we could afford him anyway

We wont be even thinking about sacking McCall whilst we are still, somehow, still in the play off positions. Which was surely the aim this season.

Shite as it may be, McCall is probably on track to achieve pre season expectations.

Surely the objective was to be 2nd at least and avoid one round of playoff games ?

This is the other point - the guy was managing Celtic (admittedly very badly) less than 2 years ago, before going to the biggest club in Cyprus and managing in the Europa League group stages. I won’t claim to be an expert, but that doesn’t exactly scream “within Thistle’s price range” to me.

And if we were going to spend what it would take to get him, there’s far, far better managers who’d we could get.

We’ll be looking at Brian Graham if he wants it, and maybe someone like Kevin Thomson if he doesn’t. I don’t think we’re going to sack McCall anyway.

His own expectations were first or second place. He knows third or fourth doesn't give a team much, if any chance of promotion.

I'm beginning to dislike the fact 3rd and 4th get playoffs in this division. It means failing managers like McCall get to cling on for longer than they should on the basis of still being in with a shout of promotion.  If we were back in his first stint in charge the season would be done now barring a collapse into the relegation battle and we'd be in a much better position to just sack him and give someone else a few months to assess the squad.

McCall has been given money to spend albeit not wisely I think the board will give him to end of season to see if he can turn things around which could mean a relegation battle if they do fans are voting with their feet because the style of football is awful ,we need a complete change of managing and training now
