McCall signed (among others) Buchanan, Twaddle, Murray, Harkins and Rowson in that pre-season. Now yes, several of those players have since flattered to deceive, but at the time they looked like the signings of a team seeking not just to rebuild to scrape 11 players on the pitch but properly to have a go. Can we say that about any of the players signed so far this season? No So far the only player we have signed i have impressed with is O’Ware. Don’t rate Slater or Gordon or McGinty. Bell was probably our best option of a steady GK so can’t overly complain. Anyone that has watched McGinty play football knows he can’t cut it at this level. Guys 6,4 and of a decent build. He should be bullying players like Shankland but he doesn’t have it in him at all.
