Real action by this Government whilst the opposition just delay but offer no solution. Aye, but if De Pfeffelllll manages to get the "deal" that he is actively pursuing with the EU, these new agreements of which you boast will be made redundant in full or in part. Or has he pursued these other agreements with the donald the rest of the world to compliment the "deal" he vigorously is chasing ?? Asking for a realist friend.

It's funny because I just done a wee search on the BBC to find out what was being said about this agreement and all they say is we've signed a "continuity agreement which is based on the existing trade deal". No mention of it being a complete shambles...

DeeTillEhDeh
The firing shot of the last indyref was the UK court stepping on the Scottish court's toes, so it's rather elegant that this looks like it'll be the firing shot of the next one.Win-Win with the Supreme Court - go against the decision and it plays right into the hands of independence campaigners - agree with it and the seethe from the gammonati will be wondrous to behold.

The 59 Scottish MPs may be allowed back in to a nearly empty parliament and the SNP would become the government of the entire UK. Almost certainly some kind of fudge will be put through to avoid this situation. The chances of this happening are almost nil. The judgement of the SC will apply to all MPs whether it agrees with or overrules the Court of Session. If the SC does overrule the CoS, though, I don't see how the Natters can whine about this - given the number of Scottish and NI law lords who are on the panel. It seems fairly representative of the UK. It was also heartening to hear people in Middle England welcoming the CoS's decision when I was in work this morning.
