Ross.
9 hours ago, sjc said: How do you define "class"? By some definitions I was from a working class family (Mum was a nurse/midwife, Dad was a mechanic) but thanks to their hard work and them investing in my future (as well as doing so myself), I have enjoyed middle class earnings for the best part of 20 years. I don't particularly class myself as either to be honest. Probably find that the vast majority of the folk posting on here will have something similar. My upbringing was about as working class as you could get but now I'm in a position that most wannabe middle class Brits can only dream of being in. I class myself as a jammy b*****d.

Nothing jammy about working hard and enjoying the financial benefits it brings (which I assume you have done - if not then you are a jammy bassa!)

I spend around 60% of most working days arsing about on the internet and get paid a fantastical amount of money for the pleasure. While I worked my fair share of shitey jobs and a hell of a lot of long shifts on the journey to getting here, I absolutely knocked it off big time with what I have ended up doing and I never at any point planned to be where I am. Jammyness mixed with opportunism and reckless abandon has put me where I am, and I never let myself forget it...

More servants just means more work tidying up before they arrive to avoid embarrassment. Give him a break.
