This was asked. Smith said it would be untouched by the project and then added, because I’m spending a fortune on the new stand. Then someone asked if the barriers were being replaced, he referred them to the fact there was a new stand getting built
North Terrace Gazza
Can you imagine unveiling these plans if we had got relegated?
callum-ayr
Also kiosks getting card payments this year, not 100% it it’ll be cashless or not, then Mathie had a joke about no dodgy fivers any more from Killie fans. Trogdor
Really enjoyed last night. I'm in danger of becoming a happy clapper after that. New stand on North Terrace has been very sensitively done. The existing terrace will remain and whilst there is a roof (something I wasn't sold on) it looks really smart. Kudos to the Chairman, it will be a major upgrade on the carbuncle there just now. Some of our fans want jam on it though, I was cringing at some of the questions to Smith. It was also my first time in the hub which was also very smart.
Superhursty7
Some one mentioned about engagement with the young supporters? we need to encourage that and the atmosphere they bring, them having one if there own in Bryden in the squad makes that link even better, I love the look of the piro and smoke but get why its problematic hopefully they can bridge the gap between them and the sometimes overzealous stewarding not sure if it's true but apparently the club reached out to some of the young guys about a meeting last season and it was refused.
AyrExile
The plans look good and will certainly add to the club on the business side as well as not altering the ground too much. Many fans like watching from the north terrace and having a roof now will make it easier when the scottish weather appears. 170 in the hospitality is a bit of a leap from current numbers. Will it be run as a business hosting other events during the week and create further revenue for the club? Good to see many positive things happening around the club and there can be no complaints about not communicating with the support

I felt a bit for Mathie at that point, some awkward questions and points made about situations previously well before his time and even smiths time at the club. We’re in a new position now and that should really be forgotten about and looking ahead and helping the new generation which he seems to be doing, think the younger lads need to go in and engage with him.

D'Jaffo
Highlight of last night was Graeme Mathie uttering the immortal words “is that a statement or a question?”. He did make short reference to that shambles of a meeting without going into any detail. The whole evening was done in very good nature and all three of the guys didn’t take anything too seriously which was good although as folk have said, I think Smith was getting fed up with some of the questions about what else he’s getting us.

It’s definitely true , SLO Jamie Garrett has arranged 3/4 meetings where they were going to provide Pizza etc and have an informal chat ,reiterating it is a meeting on how to make things better and what both parties can do to enhance what they are doing , they agreed then declined last minute , the latest was Wednesday when meeting was arranged and a text was received only hours before to cancel , hopefully there is someone out there who can convince these guys to go along to a meeting , as was showed last night by the comments raised about them from board and fans just how much they are appreciated and the great atmosphere they mostly bring Edited June 10, 2022 by Finlay21

ayrunitedfw
That’s Bangala confirmed. 2 year deal - Interestingly the club have called him a defender where as Voice called him a midfielder last night. Sounds like someone that can play in different positions.

muZZa__44
Seems like Bangala is the replacement for Muirhead which both can play in similar positions (RB, CB and CDM)
stevep56
What's the situation with Blaine Rowe? It was a shame we did not get the chance to see much of him last season.

Mathie saying it's more to do with what the club can do to support them with creating an atmosphere, permanent banner in the ground, possible designated area and stand for the drum. I would imagine they might want to discuss do's and don'ts, but not every bad bit of press etc the club has is down to young fans, or that particular group.
