Thereisalight..
Good move for Finn. He did well at Stranraer last season and played ever week iirc. Two things he was never going to do at Ayr

That would leave us with only two centre backs and one right back…
Roxanne's man
I'm slightly annoyed at Bullen for not giving Finn a chance. He certainly isn't a bad player . Of course I hope he does well, the boys a big fan of Ayr.

D'Jaffo
I think we’ll see Senga go back, maybe Ahui as well. Wouldn’t shock me if Smith left as well but I think that’ll depend on what’s happening with Murdoch. If those three were to leave we’d need two defenders and ideally we’d get ones that can play in more than one position. Maybe a full back who can play on both sides to replace Ecrepont and Ahui and then a centre back to cover for Musonda whilst he’s away.

Do we really need to replace a player (Finn) that never played?

Just seems a bit pointless. McAllister can be a back up RB and emergency CB. Far better keeping him and trying to upgrade the first choice options in those positions. You would just be releasing him to then have to find two RB’s in January, instead of one. Bearing in mind how bad the recruitment is too. If we let his contract run until the summer then hopefully Watret can step up and be back up right back next year. We probably need to get him out on loan in January for that to happen though. ayrunitedfw
The worrying thing is Bullen has mentioned that there is ‘Irons in the fire’ with regards to new signings which suggests conversations around signings have obviously been had between him and presumably Mathie/Glendinning so if that’s the case I don’t see the club suddenly sacking him and being back to square 1.
AyrExile
Good luck to Finn. McCall rated him who didn't normally bother with young players. Too young at the time to play much then McCall left so didn't get the benefit of his player development ability. Whilst you need to take charge of your own career he's been a bit unlucky with the next four managerial gurus and laptop man to help develop him/ If he can get a run of games , progress and avoid injury there is still a chance for him in the game. He's well known from his Scotland time and some will take a chance if he can establish himself.
