In addition, I think Shaughan is an excellent straight-man (as well as bringing knowledge of the league I care about), and Joel can be somewhat endearing with his animated defending of questionable opinions. I had given you a +1, on the strength of the first half of your post, but the idea of Suzie McCabe being a presenter is possibly the worst idea on this whole thread. I was drunk and probably imbued with with festive spirit, but fair play to her. My missus, who is English, left saying everyone seemed to have a nice time, but she'd had no fucking idea what she was saying. At which point I asked her how she had any idea what I am saying most of the time. She said that she simply did not. She came across as a brainless idiot. She confidently rambled on about the 1989 Scottish Cup final, but conflated it in her head with the Ibrox match a couple of years earlier in which McAvennie, Butcher and Woods wound up facing charges. Seriously, it was an utterly embarrassing listen, but because the hosts knew no better, she was allowed to talk absolute shite that was simply wrong. I get angry again, just thinking about it. I've heard fans of pretty much every team say this, from the 90s until now, yet Tam Cowan genuinely seems to think it's unique to Motherwell.
