Hope he does as I’d like to see the justification for making a joke comment like this - even if it supposed to be tongue in cheek. It’s just shite patter.

Just stop referencing it at all. It’s embarrassing. Maybe you could contact them and offer to write some new jokes for Tam and Stuart.

All I’m suggesting is that they just stay well clear of mentioning sectarian shite to try and get a laugh. Surely you can’t have a problem with that?

I did wonder that but back when Off the Ball started in August 94 the Highland duo were just starting out in division 3 and i doubt if Cosgrove or Cowan have ever been to Dingwall.

Cue Tam Cowan wading in to make a “joke” about a Rangers fan using the word “mass” on a Sunday….. chuckles all round Just cut this absolute embarrassing pish out. I’ve said it before, both presenters will say that they are anti sectarian but continue to go for the very cheap laughs like this every single time. Why even reference this. So so cringeworthy - and another reason to suggest that this show is of its time and should be binned. Back when we were welcoming in the year 2000 and a new millenium, and some folk thought computers would fail and aeroplanes would fall from the sky, the only thing that glitched and stuck in the 1900s was Tam's humour. Embarrassing da patter that does nothing to help rid us of the sectarian nonsense that should have died out decades ago.

I really thought it would have died out by now but there must be some people out there who still think he's funny. I had the misfortune to see him at a local end of season bash and it was bad. Wouldnae get away with it now or put in print what he was saying that night.
Markymark1874
I listened to the podcast this week and really enjoyed Colin McIntyre (aka Mull Historical Society). His song at the end was fantastic - a really enjoyable guest. (Tam’s patter still shite though )

The Final Arrears has always been a very decent song, my favourite Mull Historical Society song, will try catchup for the episode in question. Cheers

Cheers Yeah - didn’t know that he was Kenny’s brother but they got both them in the studio on Saturday. It’s a good listen tbf.
TheScarf
When you see a picture of Colin you can see they're brothers. He's got a couple of good songs.

I was saddened when he was prematurely and so suddenly forever silenced.

BrodieJ12
I listened back to Sunday's episode and thought it was excellent. I like when it's Cosgrove to run the show and he definitely had the handbrake off. Not to everyone's taste but makes for much better listening IMO. You could hear David Currie running for cover when he said Roy Keane looked like an old tink. Brilliant.

Ripped into Currie for failing to provide an opinion on Beale etc etc Interesting that he had to provide an apology to anyone offended by his Keane tink comment. He’ll be getting his wings clipped as we speak. Keep going, Stuart, brilliant presenter
