Would Honda have entered F1 and Porsche or Toyoto have entered Le Mans/WEC if it wasn't for the hybrid engines?

jaggyness
Hadn't realised that interlagos contract ended this year and that they have seriously fallen out with liberty. Shame as I love it as a track and it has seen so many historic moments.
Mr. Brightside
An absolute disgrace if they don't return to Interlagos, one of the few tracks to guarantee a good race.

peasy23
Fp1 cancelled due to the weather, who thought the nurburgring in October was a good idea [emoji23]Foggy around the track, but cancelled as the conditions were even worse around the nearest hospital so the medical helicopters couldn't fly and it's too long a journey by road.

Mr. Brightside
I see the engine manufacturers are closing ranks to say that the issue is how the hybrid engines have been marketed.

jimmy boo
Friday practice washed out.Hopefully could shake things up for the race should it go ahead. No practice or qualy for months in Nascar so they'll just need to suck it up and get on with it.

Mark Connolly
Bottas tried to hand Hamilton the win from the start, and has finally managed to let him past after about 15 laps
Stu
Bottas out. Championship as good as Hamilton's if he wins. The number of front running cars retiring means a slower team like Ferrari has a chance of a decent points haul today.
afc_36_0
I was astonished to see bottas re-passing hamilton in the first corner before his mistake let him through and eventually engine issues.Fingers crossed for a danny ric podium!Hamilton and verstappen will lap the field at this rate
Ginaro
Short odds on a SC with Michael Masi as race director. Surely a VSC would be safer given the cold temperatures...

Why not just drop them to the back of the pack? They’re already a lap down. Edited October 11, 2020 by IainMorton

Why not just drop them to the back of the pack? They’re already a lap down. That would only solve one part of the problem (getting rid of the Ferrari in between Lewis and Max). But the other problem is that Ferrari (think it was Leclerc) would be shafted because it would've lost almost a lap to the car ahead just because he'd been lapped by the leader. So letting cars unlap themselves is the right thing to do, but the time it takes is why VSC is better.
