Its just that under Boris they have shown their true face in public. Better for the opposition that Boris continues to constantly remind people of what they really are. Ofcourse it matters, Boris is a buffoon but if they go full Tory then a lot of people will face a lot more hardships over the next few years.

Paco
Douglas Ross has now called for Boris to go, revokes that call, said he should go when the Ukraine war ends and now says he should go again. I admire him. Solid commitment to not knowing what the f**k he’s doing. When Johnson inevitably wins tonight he’ll need to go back to his ‘stay’ position again too. He’ll be full of people’s priorities, decisive result, move on etc midday tomorrow.

Ivo den Bieman
You have to admit this is top quality entertainment for a quiet Monday evening. Best result is that Johnson clings on by under 20, and will insist on staying as PM despite having all credibility shot, and nearly half his parliamentary party against him. He'll need to be dragged out of there. That way he will sink with the entire Tory Party at the next general election, and this gang of extreme right-wing crooks, chancers, racists, liars and thieves will be out of power for a decade. Hopefully some of them will end up in jail- they certainly deserve it.

No it doesn't. Johnson and his acolytes are showing the true face of the Tory party. A new leader may show a more compassionate face, but hide their true feelings. They hide behind a mask of respectabity and that makes them even more dangerous. But Johnson will still be PM after tonight's vote. Detournement
I've got a feeling that whatever the result is here the Tory hierarchy are quite keen to lose an election soon and let Starmer and his cabinet of clean shirt gimps take the heat for the coming meltdown of the private and public sectors. We don't have politics anymore it's just a WWE style staged personality contest where a few people booing the PM at the jubilee is a bigger deal than the care home deaths, the PPE corruption and every other problem in the country. The real ruling class needed Boris to beat Corbyn, now they need Starmer or a blue Tory version of him to tell us all being skint, cold and hungry is the new normal and there's nothing that can be done about it.
