Regarding supermarkets, I reckon they probably need to return to the one-in/one-out limited numbers in-store they did early doors last year, and maybe also get a bit more draconian about insisting on single shopping or two together at the most - seem to be a lot of tinky families of five or six treating it like a big day out as things stand.I was in Tesco on Friday and there was a family consisting of mum, dad, and 5 kids, ranging from about 2 years old to 8 or 9. Theres a sign on the door that says 4 in the shop max. Walked in and the boy told me I'd have to wait, so wait I did.... For a good wee while. Then out comes a family of four, who have obviously been p***king about at the Costa machine. All four of them in a shop that clearly states 4 customers max. I get it if they're a one parent family etc but too many are hauling everybody out to Tesco,Morrison's,Aldi etc just to get out the house,its dangerous and its utterly pathetic..... There's other wee things like parents letting their kid push the trolley and they're swinging out into the aisle and making a wee game out of it. One of the little b*****ds was coughing into his hand then rummaging through the items on the shelves. This was the week before Christmas. It's not that I am so concerned about other folk but I don't want to expose him to the risk of catching it. They spend their time running away and hiding half the time and you get to the till and you find you have extra items you didnt put in. My parents are moving into a house that’s getting work done, due to finish by mid February. Whilst people who are shielding were advised to avoid shops last time round, that isn't the advice this time. I personally find the whole "I can't wear a mask" stuff absolutely bollocks, and a fantastic example of the modern snowflake culture. It will never be 'safe' to open a vast reservoir of undistanced grotty weans in a pandemic. But when ICU levels are nowhere near critical and the R rate is sitting at 0.6 or lower, that risk can be deemed tolerable again.
