Steven W Posted May 20, 2023 Share Posted May 20, 2023 Just in terms of sheer numbers, we'll obviously miss Fletcher. And he's a handy asset to have on the pitch. But, without having done any research, I don't think we've missed him when he's been injured before? Granted we had Watt to fill in and that's not the case just now. But Fletcher is hardly 'free scoring ' considering he's a striker. His presence means we have one tactic all game (high ball from keeper for him to win the header and knock it on to the other non-existant striker) and it's a tactic that has patently not worked all season. Apologies for being an optimist, but I'm hoping this might just work out for us.
