Kilmarnock v Aberdeen

Recommended Posts

Not a great game to watch but a welcome 3 points. Don’t think we were ever in any danger of losing the game but we didn’t create much in the way of chances. Cosgrove struck the free kick well but if I was a Killie fan I would be raging with defender who got sent off as Cosgrove still has to beat keeper and also with way the wall disintegrated to allow the ball through. The lack of goals must be a major concern for them.

Decent performance and relatively comfortable in the end. A fair way away from our attacking best but there were some decent moments.

worrying lack of goals for killie. Expected more from brophy and kabamba.

A lot of people who support other teams think this but the fact of the matter is both of them are very poor players. Brophy is better but still not great but Kabamba is absolutely dreadful

A bit harsh maybe? brophy always seems to cause us problems in the past and kabamba is definitely capable.

Brophy is like that lad you all knew when you were younger who was just desperate to get it his end away, so desperate though that he reeks of it and no lass would go near him. When he does get like a sniff of chance he immediately snatches at it blowing his load in the lead up!

I also suspect when Dyer has Kabamba and Brophy training to play up front together they are both blindfolded and gagged as they appear to know the square root of fa about each other’s games,

An absolute shitshow of a performance for us, summed up by the absolute nonsense in stoppage time. Started with Rogers for some reason passing to Broadfoot under pressure, causing us to waste about 30 seconds, followed by an absolutely brainless red card, and then the flimsiest wall I've ever seen. Dyer's tactics are simply not good enough, we have no idea how to construct attacks apart from slinging in crosses, and he is completely unable or unwilling to use his subs to change a game.

That being said, the second goal quite clearly shouldn't have stood - you're not allowed to be within a yard of the wall at a free-kick, and Hedges was standing right on top of it.

That wasn't a wall though.

Trust me, it’s not harsh. Brophy spends more time falling over and shooting from ridiculous angles than he does troubling defences. He is a good player but has a lot of annoying tendencies.

Kabamba is just terrible. Absolutely no threat to defences at all.

Lovely three points there and a fairly comfortable win. Never really felt that Killie were going to score, and their biggest threat came from a 30 yard Brophy shot late on. Disappointed in McLennan today when he shooting opprtunities. Never looked confident and the shots were either powder puff or way off target. Good stat from Sky to highlight that we have never lost a goal in the last 10 minutes of a league game this season, but this was turned round by the “McInnes out” brigade on Facebook to say that is because he brings all his defenders on as subs with 15 minutes to go.
