Clubs/councils interpreting measures far more strictly than required?

Distancing is 1m from Monday - plus upto 15 people from unlimited households can be together socially outdoor with none.

"Social purpose does include attendance at football matches".

I don't know about you but I'm pretty anti social when I go to the football.

Aberdeen given permission to have 5,600 fans at Pittodrie - about 25% of capacity - for their Conference League tie next week.

However for the first time in Scotland all will need to provide negative tests.

Wouldn't be hard for Aberdeen fans to pass a negative test tbh.

Would you be surprised if they were?

Fucking hell. Blackpool is bad enough already.

I was there on Monday and to be honest, it was in full staunch mode judging by the amount of Castore polyester  on show.

Sounds like Aberdeen as a club are the reason you need a negative test rather than any direction from the council.

What are clubs doing re face coverings? Given games are outside I’d have thought they wouldn’t be necessary. But we are rigidly enforcing wearing them. Other clubs doing the same?

I picked up a cup of water as I entered the stadium and obviously didn’t wear a mask as I drank it, didn’t put one on again until I went to the toilet at half time.   Although there was certainly no one within 2 metres of me in any direction.

Dundee have reportedly applied for 4,000 for the start of the league season.

There will be 2,000 fans in the Bobby Cox Stand for the Forfar League Cup game on Saturday. With an identical stand at the opposite end of the pitch, there’s no logical reason why our request should be denied.

Is that just for July friendlies or in UEFA games or League matches, too?

Hibernian have been given permission to host 4,700 fans for their Europa Conference League qualifying tie with Santa Coloma on Thursday.

The Easter Road club submitted a request to Edinburgh City Council for a crowd of 9,000.

This comes after Aberdeen were allowed 5,655 supporters to attend their game with Hacken on the same evening.

Celtic have been given the go ahead for 9,000 fans at their Champions League tie with Midtjylland on Tuesday. The Glasgow club had applied to the local authority for 18,000.
