Jambomo
I am surprised at how long Oxlade Chamberlain has been at Liverpool, has he ever been good for them?

He's a bit like Milner, though not as versatile. Good squad player, don't ever really remember him having a bad game for them, but as you say, not many outstanding ones either

senorsoupe
Liverpool are lucky, that looked offside to me
Mark Connolly
That was all very odd, how do they decide which bizarre angle is the one they will use for VAR?
Cptn Hooch
suspicious lack of lines in that VAR review...wouldn't be like Liverpool getting the benefit of the doubt -

Could just use the angle Lee Dixon decided to call it offside with. Desperation stuff there.

Some flashes of brilliance but mostly mediocre
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
They only drew one line on the graphic?
craigkillie
It's a perfect example of why folk watching Sportscene and going daft about offside decisions are often wrong, because unless the camera is right in line you are simply not getting the proper perspective. Commentators need to bear that in mind.

The one that shows things the clearest. The cameras are synched. So they can use one angle to freeze things when the ball is (ostensibly) released, then use a different angle to draw the lines. I thought from the second angle he was clearly onside without needing the lines. Edited March 20, 2022 by The Master
19QOS19
The only way they award a penalty there is if it was a Liverpool player going down...
Mr. Brightside
That's a penalty if it's the other way round.
Jambomo
I know it’s often said but that pen is given if it’s up the other end

DrewDon
I don't know if they do give it up the other end, but it's definitely the correct decision not to give it - Yates shapes his foot to initiate the contact with Allison.
