williemillersmoustache
An irritatingly competent process and probably a decent appointment. Boo and indeed hiss.
Thenorthernlight
Strange he’s not had a job in a year. Wouldn’t take very much to be a better manager than Gerrard right enough, who’s record was poor.

Clockwork
There's some really weird people on this site. Think everyone knew who was getting hired so fair play to Rangers for getting it done quickly. Suspect there'll be little tweaks to their shape but they'll remain boringly efficient.Decent post that’s hidden amongst the usual tedium. It will be interesting to see how GVB sets up his side and how he wants them to play. Think most would agree (Rangers fans included), that Gerrard rarely seemed to have a plan B in breaking sides down, even with most of the play, or holding teams that were content to hit them speedily on the break. It’s going to be interesting at least.

You must have missed 'the article posted about GVB needing to move on from the Rotterdam club as he has no Plan B All these pesky anti sevco fans really don't know anything, he's great because Dirk Kuyt dragged them to a 1st title in almost 2 decades. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ajb9js/giovanni_van_bronckhorst_will_depart_his_role_as/ Edited November 19, 2021 by Meldrew
Coventry Saint
Disappointing outcome, tbh. We all know the real value here would have been in GvB turning them down after a couple weeks' dithering, leaving Rangers high and dry and retrieving their target list from the bin. This is no fun whatsoever and I think he'll be decent for them.

Yer, it’s funny how the response has been ‘shit they actually are professional in this aspect of running the club’ or ‘but I heard they only talked to one man and all the other candidates were Jimmy Bell wearing different disguises’. Not often recently that it’s been the case (lol at the McInnes sliding doors moment), thank f**k for Ross Wilson tbh.
