In a fairly strong field, Jack's performance today is one of the worst I have seen.

He was pretty poor when reading out his own speech, but his performance in dealing with questions has been utterly dire.

No idea how he has held that office for so long when he is such a poor speaker

This is one of the worst debates I've ever listened to in the Commons. The Tories really are absolute scum of the earth and dangerously thick as mince into the bargain. This is an absolute outrage man, the whole thing.

Completely agree

Jack is refusing to give concrete examples of problems so that he can't have the pure purple piss ripped out of him when folk contradict him.

"Single sex clubs" WTAF ! I cannot believe (well actually I can) that an MP never mind a cabinet minister would stand in parliament and cite issues with "single sex clubs" as a reason for putting the kybosh on this bill. I presume by Single sex clubs he means the all male private members bastions the Tories love to frequent. Utter wasters and frauds the lot of them and this most thinly veiled prejudice you will ever see.

Shocking, stunning news from Kieth. Glad I was sat down already when I read that

Words I never thought I would say:

”I actually feel sorry for Scottish Labour, and they look for once like standing behind their principles”.

They are being shafted by UK Labour, and relegated to their Branch Office status.  Monica Lennon has come across well, as has (other words I never thought I would say) Richard Leonard.

Talking of Monica, defender of women’s rights Graham Linehan is currently tweeting porn at her. How very feminist.

It's important that Scottish voters pay attention to the latest Labour shitebaggery, and it's even more important that anyone up here considering voting for them in the hope of any positive change abandons that notion pronto.  On every meaningful issue Starmer has positioned them as UK establishment lapdogs.

What's going on with Starmer re Scottish Labour is just a repeat of exactly what publicly happened to Jack McConnel, Wendy Alexander, Johann Lamont, and no doubt every other Scottish Labour behind the scenes.

The idea that a Scottish Labour leader actually has any degree of autonomy or authority is, and always has been, complete nonsense.

Sadly, that situation exactly mirrors the democratic deficit the Union is imposing on the Scottish people.

They're trotting out the "grievance politics" line which needs to be fucking challenged for the rampant pish it is.

The only people playing grievance politics here are the Tories and the UK Labour leadership.

Murray and Jack showing yet again when it comes to Scotland they put political sectarianism first, second and third.

Utter fucking scum.

Kirsten Oswald is mistaken. It's not a 'mystery' why the Tories are stepping in now, she just can't spell it out without being asked to leave the chamber.

I genuinely think it's time for non-cooperation in Westminster.  Stop playing by the unwritten  boys club rules and disrupt at every opportunity.

Why is it invariably 'legitimate' concerns, or 'genuine' concerns, over just 'concerns'?

I mean, there's nothing about the word 'concerns' itself that implies that used on it's own it signifies the utterer is being less than sincere.

It's almost as if they are trying too hard.
