mizfit
Had Willie Rennie at the door this afternoon, campaigning with the local Lib Dem candidate. I’ve no idea who to vote for, but was refreshing to hear him only talk about local issues, when a lot are still campaigning on national issues.Should’ve asked him why his is the only non-main road in Perth to be gritted when it’s icy. Only time I’ve seen him lose his shit.

My older lad couldn't even remember the present leaders' names - at either Holyrood or Westminster. He says "Willie Rennie sounds like something you'd take if your boaby got indigestion."

welshbairn
Shite picture, but this is an advert for 2 Libdem candidates in Inverness, incumbent councillors, who obviously see the Libdem brand and Alex Cole-Hamilton as toxic, not a single mention of their party.

She also recommends higher benefits for single parents. I assume you're on board with that? The British woman has a load of studies published, so i don't know where to start. But that quote just says that income doesn't fully account for difference in outcomes. If you could link to her specific study that would be great.

Suspect Device
Another panelbase poll in the Sunday Time showing that the Tories will slip to 3rd in the local elections. I wonder how bad it would have to get for the Tories to get worried and dump BoJo.

They'll want the next one to have not been in long enough to take the blame for the government's record. Probably after next year's local elections.

I also reckon they will start cutting taxes which will help make the conservatives look more ‘conservative’. Even now, Starmer is starting to get some flak for his own beergating.which helps to deflect attention away from Boris. On top of that, despite everything, Boris comes over as a likeable rascal with floppy haired kids from a multitude of wives. All in all, compared to some of the other leaders, he’s still an attractive proposition. I know this will have the Nats and lefties frothing at the mouth but it’s just my opinion.
BFTD
Massive misjudgement from DPB. I'd guess most people would agree that the Tories will try to brazen it out with their current leader, that they'll (yet again) attempt a wee short-term financial bribe to remain in power, and that the entire cabinet come across as mendacious psychopaths, even in comparison to Floppy the PM. Must try harder to contrarian better. I recommend claiming you believe that Keir Starmer will be the next Prime Minister, with a side claim that he'll impose widespread socialism for extra laughs.

DrewDon
I don't think it would actually be possible to find somebody who looks and sounds more like a Liberal Democrat than Alex Cole-Hamilton. Unless you went to a Doctor Who convention or something.
