I see C&C Tennent’s have written to the Scottish Secretary. Stating that their view has been misrepresented with selective leaks of their letter (to the Scottish Goverment).

So was it the FM who misrepresented Tennent's or was it Greer when he suggested they would go bankrupt. They can't even spin effectively!

My bet now... SG will cancel the DRS and then the blame game will start.

With hopefully the Greens fucking off in a hissy tantrum.

Got to love the using of pictures of discarded glass bottles and cans in public areas, every one of the pics is clearly a trampy or neddy hangout where they get pished away from the view of plod

Cant imagine all the wee neds who acquire booze in a morw discreet manner trying to return their glass bottles while steaming out their nut on a Friday night

This scheme should have been done on a UK basis from the start.

Irrelevant.

It could be be the greatest fuckup in the world, the point is that Devolution only works as advertised if the Devolved Government is able to implement policies within it's competencies without interference.

The constitutional settlement is known.

Moreover, its a surprise to absolutely nobody including Scottish ministers that they had to seek an internal market exemption from the UK Government.

Why did they not do this at the outset in 2021? Instead they sat on their hands until March this year. Maybe it's down to the Ukraine war and covid-19 like the A9 dualing. 🤦‍♂️

With the UK & Scottish Governments it really does feel like clowns to the left of me and jokers to the right for the electorate.

The ineptitude of the governments in Westminster & Holyrood is fucking galling.

Nothing another private charter jolly/'fact-finding' mission to the Inner Hebrides won't be able to solve though.

I would have thought that if we're going to have a gardening and recycling wing, the bare minimum would be that they wouldn't look like hypocrites on the environment and unable to sort a recycling scheme.

They have made another complete mess of things, if they had any confidence in their own scheme they would have gone ahead without glass.

What have the greens achieved so far while in government? They may have and I just haven't noticed.

It was. There was an all nations approach to it but England start to pull back whereas Scotland push ahead.

Scotland's problem then became they had to get permission to implement it.

Doesn't matter if you are for independence or not, A government asking permission to do something in their own country, gender reform or recycling, is just plain wrong. You could hear the glee in Alasdair Jack's voice denying permission to go ahead with it as it is saw as getting one over on the SNP.

And lest we forget, this is something the UK was said was so intolerable that it required shredding EU membership to stop it. That dirty b*****d Alistair Jack was especially vocal in how nations should make decisions without working with others, thank you very much.

Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance more like, if they needed stuff sorted with Westminster they should have done that first. If their arse was hanging out be kicked it's no-one's fault but Lorna's.
