Notice Buckie haven’t even released a statement on this. I think they’ve deliberately let this happen. Should be able to put Brechin forward instead. It’s tinpot stuff from Buckie.

Brechin got off at Haymarket.

Brechin can't play in the play off as they didn't win the league.

Post season 1 point deduction to Buckie?  Then Brechin would 'technically' win the league :P

Brechin gotta truly be boakin now , not good but it is what it is , Beith looking like west of Scotland winners and can't go up either , Gateshead in England as well so Buckie not alone in meeting criteria for promotion but what would it take to get them there ??

Brechin should be relegated to the Midlands League for only beating a laughably shite Brora side in the 200th minute of injury time the other day.

But weren't they granted an extension, had they won the league

I have absolutely no clue what you mean here.

According to this document Brechin would have been in the play off as they have a Bronze. It's dated yesterday https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/11752/240424-club-licensing-awards.pdf

That says Brechin are at Entry level not bronze. Plus what do Brechin have to do with this? They didn’t win the league so what status they have is irrelevant.

Apologies. Ground is Bronze, every other criteria is Entry

Of course they'll say that. They don't want everyone thinking they actually planned it

Their statement doesn't mention when they first asked the SFA for a grace period - I think it must have been after the 31st March deadline

We were granted a grace period before the deadline of 31st March and we would have contested the playoffs had we won the league

Agreed. Just have to hope we win the HL next season to avoid this happening again

Buckie have been rightly thrown out of the playoffs for gross incompetence, and claims that Brechin should be reinstated are wide of the mark. It’s just a shame it benefits £a$t Kilbride, of all teams.

Or if the HL had confirmed whoever finished highest up knowing Buckie failed to meet the deadline of 31st March?
