Or if the HL had confirmed whoever finished highest up knowing Buckie failed to meet the deadline of 31st March?

Only champion clubs allowed to participate in the play-offs.

The SFA should call Buckie's bluff, interpret that Meh statement as a form of "appeal" and allow the play-off to happen.

Buckie are forced to play a game they have no intention of winning, Mick Kennedy's celebrations tonight are stymied, and both sets of fans get their well-deserved days out.

Everyone wins.

Buckie have been rightly thrown out of the playoffs for gross incompetence, and claims that Brechin should be reinstated are wide of the mark. It’s just a shame it benefits £a$t Kilbride, of all teams.

They know of EK Dodgy even in the Highlands 😀

B teams weren't allowed in the pyramid. Things can change. Seems crap for the teams in the Highland League (and West Premier), that the Champion not being licenced means no one gets the chance to go up

So could Strathspey be nominated by the HL to play EK then? Why does it have to be Brechin?

B teams still aren’t allowed in the pyramid, they’re only guest teams in the Lowland League. They can’t be promoted or relegated

Buckie don't give a f**k about the Pyramid, the Highland League or Scottish football so long as they can poach players from clubs who do with youth training, and play big baws with zero local players at tier 5.

The Lowland isn't the Pyramid.  There is no rule barring B/Reserve teams,  as Stirling Uni Reserves and Stranraer Reserves show, Livingston B also applied for the EoS.

If any of the other Highland League teams fancied a crack at promotion they should have won the league. It’s shite that this has happened but nobody else deserves a shot at the playoffs.

As much as the sfa can be shit at times they’ve been given no choice here,

buckle have acted the c**t and got what they deserved.

Play-off place shouldn’t be pushed down to 2nd IMO but the clubs who have missed out should be pushing for charges to be brought against Buckie to try deter clubs from doing the same in the future
