Camelon at Oakley on Saturday, can you get a pint there before the game - club or pub?

Oakley have a bar facility in the ground, not sure about draught lager though.

There is a pub just down the hill for the ground, The White Gates, less than a 5 minute walk.

Whitburn 0 Blackburn 0

Tough fought WL derby.

Whitburn could and should hav been out of sight 1st half but didn't take their chances.

2nd half more even game.

Games like this are must wins however in any promotion race and Whitburn will probably rue the opportunities given to them 1st half promotion wise.

Some big results up top as St Andrews take 6pts in a week. Dunipace edge Newtongrange while Camelon and Whitburn can only draw. Burnie flagging and Star need to finish with a run of wins now.

Oakley improving but couldn't hold-out for 3pts today.

Arniston 3 St Andrews 4.

A frustrating game in which Saints should have been out of sight in the first hour then went 4-1 up with ten minutes to go only to concede goals from a set piece and a penalty to make things unnecessarily tense.

However it was an excellent day with three of our main rivals dropping points.

I just wish we could play our games in hand to see where we rightfully sit in the table.

instead it’s a massive clash at home to Camelon on Saturday.

Another excellent win for the Pace yesterday, could have been more comfortable had we taken our chances, some poor finishing and an excellent performance from the Nitten keeper kept it at one.

Pace started really well, made a number of good chances but couldn’t convert, Nitten took hold of the game for a 15/20 min spell in the first half and had two really good chances that they couldn’t take has the first half ended Kemp really should have scored from a header but half time came with no score.

I thought the Pace played better in the second half pinning Nitten back, a penalty was awarded for a clumsy tackle in the box, looked a stonewall pen, and Kelly stepped up to take what turned out to be a poor strike that was well saved by the Nitten keeper.

The attacks kept coming and eventually Kelly scored what was probably his hardest chance of the game cutting inside from the left and smashing a low shot from 20 yards passed the excellent Nitten keeper.

Nitten made one clear chance in the second half where a long ball to the back post found the head of an attacker who probably should have at least hit the target, they huffed and puffed but the excellent young Pace defence held out for a clean sheet and a crucial one nil victory.

Shout out for the ref who had an excellent game, no howls of derision from the hill or the shed were heard throughout the game which is something 🤣.

Next 2 league games at home for the Pace where we are unbeaten could more or less wrap up a promotion spot depending on what happens else where, good to see some injured players returning yesterday just at the right time, squad has a bit of depth to it this season that has definitely helped the consistency of the team.

Fair analysis. Didn't think there was a lot in it 1st half, but we (Nitten) were disappointing 2nd half. Thought Pace looked fit, were physical (and fair) and showed quality across the park. Our "ball players" got little to no time on the ball.

I think the tight plastic pitch suits you more than us, so we'll see what happens in the return match. We have a very young side who will only improve. Just hoping it's enough to get us promotion this year after a very poor start, mainly through youth and inexperience. You guys are a certainty to go up. Best wishes.

Lastly, on the referee, thought he was decent, one of the best I've seen this season, but he got a little card happy near the end when it was never a dirty game.

A fair summary, Whitburn had chances to tuck the game away first half, Blackburn came more into second half.

Whitburn didn't impress me at all, if that is the best they have they're going to struggle in the Premier if they get there.  Blackburn have been suffering from injury issues all season and haven't replaced Laurie Devine, they look to be undergoing a bit of a rebuilding job.

Poor show from camelon today. Scraped a draw at the death. Much improvement required for St Andrews next week. Oakley did well to convert 3 chances all of which were laid on a plate for them by poor play by camelon.

Think we'll be playing you guys next season burnie,it's been a step up this season that's for sure.

Some good teams in this league.

Although if the 3 or 4 above us go up,won't be so tough next season, regardless of Bo'ness Athletic or who is coming down from the Premier.

Don’t write your team off yet.

if Whitburn win their games in hand on Camelon and Newtongrange they would be in the promotion places.

Hopefully we can do your team a favour next Saturday.

It's hard to judge.  I've not seen any Premierleague football this season, but I'd say everyone who comes down will be competitive, there wont be any VoL's.  Bo'ness Athletic will probably compete towards the top end, Armadale will invest again if they get promoted. Thorton Hibs always tough.

First time I have heard the Westfield pitch described as tight.

A big day for St Andrews as they hold on for a hard fought win over Camelon and Newtongrange drop more points.

Saints are now two points behind Camelon and one behind Newtongrange with three and four games in hand respectively.

We are still not in the promotion places and yet we have to be odds on to go up now.
