The word Loch is a giant hurdle.

They have great difficulty in saying the name of our favourite sport and call it something that could be a dogs name. So football.

 

We didn't come up with the word. Blame the English.

I think everyone on this thread would appreciate the movie Road House from the late 1980s.

As a youngster in the late 80's, early 90's, I can confirm that I appreciated the f**k out of Road House.

Part of me ended up wanting the Chiefs to win the other night when I saw the name McCloud written on one of the 49ers strips.

ETA: that said, it's said as 'mac-lodge' in Gaelic I think, so maybe we're all doing it wrong anyway.
