Oh dear he we go again…VAR..

To be honest that is a poorer decision than the one that disallowed the goal. The Aberdeen player was not getting to the ball. Soft in the extreme.

I’m at the game but I’m severely tempted just to go home now. Nobody’s claiming a foul at the goal and nobody’s claiming a penalty there, yet we’re a goal down having been the better team because some dick watching a tv 75 miles away has to stick his oar in. Pointless.

Unfortunately that is a penalty. Clearly kicked the Aberdeen player. Oh well congrats on your 1-0 win Aberdeen.

I coach Under 10s football and we're playing on at either of those 'fouls'.

Shows we're big time though.

No. Gordon kicked Aberdeen player on the calf.

It’s a contact sport, yes he’s missed the ball, but he’s not exactly kicked him, he’s flicked a foot and barely made any contact. Anyone who’s played the game can see and knows it’s not a foul though.

After he had reached the ball 1st, and aimlessly launched it behind.

Intent? Zero

Reckless? No

Affected the phase? No

Denied a gso? nope.

Utter bollocks decision.

Think the refs have been told that when they get sent to the screen , don't disagree with VAR. While there is slight contact , it's after the ball's away for a goal kick. Beaton should have had the balls to overrule that !

Remember that time at Easter Road when Beaton gave the home side a penalty that never was one, and that ended up winning the game for Hibs.

We thought then that VAR would sort that out.

We didn't count on the Beaton effect.

It was unfortunate but there was a clear foul in the box before St J scored. Yes it was missed at the time. But it was a foul.

But 100% agree with all of the above. The St Johnstone player is trying to reach the ball. The Aberdeen player gets his leg in front. Absolutely unintentional and did not affect what happened at all.
