They looked much better in all the games they subbed him and it just seemed to go under the radar, with Southgate getting the praise for making the right subs at the right time. Hedgecutter
I'm seeing 'North Sea Tigers' (of the tattoo-covered type who buy protein tubs whilst wearing Help For Heroes shirts) struggling to hold back tears out here as the reality sinks in.

GroundskeeperWillie
Thank you iPlayer, now able to rewatch some of the key moments of the game. Laughed out loud when Shearer exclaimed about Saka thwacking Cucurella in the face 'oh come on, he's just protecting the ball, but you know what happens' after seeing some of the ridiculous dives from his lot. Also, fairly sure when he said 'well done Spain' there was an horrific grinding noise in the background, something a bit akin to gritted teeth. Utterly joyous!

Listen I love knocking Harry Kane as much as the next man but he was actually the joint top scorer in this tournament and England wouldn't have been near any finals without his goals. The reason England lost is, for the most part, they are technically deficient against other top nations. Until England players can actually pass a ball they are winning f**k all. Declan Rice gave the ball away so many times tonight and Bellingham didn't show up for his second final in a month.
