Kircer bairn
What is the nonsense with pre match “music” at Firhill & lack of announcement re minute’s applause. Think it was poor show if meant to be recognising someone who has passed.

This was our 6th away game out of 8( and we're away again Friday night) and we had 5 first teamers out . No away day in this league is easy no matter the form. Main thing is to keep picking up points till Morrison and MacIver are back.

Think it was poor show if meant to be recognising someone who has passed. No idea what the music reference is about, but agreed on the lack of acknowledgement about why we were holding a minute’s applause. People who follow the club on social media would have known it was for Peter Cormack’s passing, but plenty of people standing near me didn’t - and I’d assume the majority of the away fans didn’t either. It was a different stadium announcer today, so not sure if it was just a case of inexperience or what, but it wasn’t ideal.

McGlynn wouldn't have.

Maybe my view is distorted by knowing how shit Thistle have been (via a friend who supports them and the posters on here). Plus the fact we (Alloa) pumped them 3-1 at Firhill a few weeks ago (and we aren't great). Although you had five first teamers out, the replacements for four of those are pretty much as good IMO. Oliver for MacIver being the exception - although given the number of chances you created today, it doesn't seem you missed Ross as much as you might have.

R&Y99
On the balance of play we were lucky to get a point. Falkirk clearly the better team before the equaliser, felt we came back into it a bit after Graham’s goal, but even then I still felt Falkirk were going to find the winner. One of the few positives from this season is Myles Roberts, a truly brilliant goalkeeper. That save he made from the close range header at 1–1 was fantastic. Best keeper we have had since Cerny, plays beyond his years at only 22.

McGlynn is making the absolute most of the resources currently available to him. So the polar opposite of his counterpart in the home dugout this afternoon, who has been extremely well-backed and is currently presiding over a rabble. Long, long may Doolan continue to remain at Firhill, please don't even think about emptying him anytime soon.

ilostmyself
I thought that was a decent game that either team could have won. We were the better side without looking like we'd actually take our chances. Tait was fantastic, he seems like a nightmare to play against (and possibly with) but I'm delighted he's with us. Don't think that's fair at all. Certainly in the challenge cup game Ayr came into the game before the end of the first half. Livingston definitely got lucky against us though. Vaughan hitting the bar, then we get a stonewaller denied before they go up the pitch and score after Kev made an error on what should've a routine save. Fuctifano
The result didn't really matter today in the long run, Falkirk are miles ahead of us and only a combination of luck, bad finishing and one amazing save from Roberts kept it to 1-1. Unless they get afflicted by plague that is a better team than us. Every time they had the ball they moved it forward quickly through triangles whereas when we had the ball it was like a foreign object. Doolan has run out of ideas and it is sad but he needs to go, whatever he has done this close season has not worked. The only positive today was Bannigan coming on and acting like a grumpy old man on speed.
Cardle is Magic
Other teams (looking at you Pars) being laughably bad this season has taken the heat off Thistle but 10 points from 9 games is a feeble return for a side who should be challenging for the title. Not surprised to hear Doolan is under pressure.

We were missing more and better players. -
