The way that not being a complete c**t, or doing the decent thing like the vast majority would, is now described by people/morons on the internet as "absolute class".

"This child tripped and fell while crossing the road so I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting her."

"ABSOLUTE CLASS MATE."

"My friend's in the hospital recovering from an operation so I went to visit him yesterday."

"Oh mate that is just SHEER CLASS."

Rife among social media LAD accounts. Specially football ones. Annoyingly, and this is just my opinion, spontaneous acts of kindness being wanked over in this way has led to a rise in cringingly choreographed acts of kindness.

From a Dundee United fan.

"Even though the team you support is not the team I support, I have to say that what you did or didn't do today was just absolutely top class. This is important as the team you support are arch rivals of the team I support, and we do not like eachother, but I had to put all that aside to just show you how class you are. Class."

The respect given to someone carrying out a kind act is immediately negated when they post online to tell everyone how great they are for doing it. I genuinely think some folk see the opportunity to help someone as a chance to gain some likes online.

I love when Old Firm fans let us in on the little known secret that football isn't as important as life-threatening health problems by posting a picture of a seriously ill child fan of their rivals.

It really takes a special type of person to try to make themselves look good on the back of a photograph of a hospitalised kid.
