I wouldn't have described any of my comments in that post as racist.

So why did you question me on it?

You apologised for using racist language when you originally posted your 'Chinky' comment, blamed everyone else for making you like that and are now saying you don't see it as racist.

Which is it?

Was it not you who was exceptionally racist them blamed it on those you live around and watch on TV?

Have you never thought of just, not watching stuff with them on it or hanging around with them? It'd maybe help.

Had a bad day dear? (4 hours later)

I replied to you once again being annoyed that these people around you are forcing you to watch something you don't want to. Just like they made you post racist terms because they too, are racists.

You're quite right to not want to answer my question btw.

Enjoy the rest of your Christmas evening.

As per usual, my Dad, who lives on his own was coming to ours for Xmas dinner today. I arranged and confirmed with him yesterday that he should arrive about 2ish.

He duly arrives at....12:50.

I got really irked by that, as either 70 mins early, or 70 mins late, I think it's really rude to totally ignore a time agreed just the day before.

Is using the word 'chinky' in the context of a takeaway meal 'exceptionally racist'?

Erm.. Yes. Any reason you had to ask me a question I'd already answered?

Yes.

Just waiting for his "not in my day it wasn't!" (Evens) or "Snowflakes nowadays!" (7/4) post, tbh.

It's ridiculous to think it's anything but a derogatory racist term.

Sorry to disappoint, but there will be no  'not in my day' response.

I get that it's derogatory, I was just wondering about the word 'exceptional'.

But zero tolerance is the benchmark I suppose.

For once, Mr Google has let me down but...I remember reading a tale of some foreign dignitary coming on a visit wearing his military rig. Stavros, tactful as ever, pointed at his extensive ribbon collection and scoffed “Shirley you didn’t earn all those!”

“At least” came the response “I didn’t get mine just for marrying.”
