  1. Thiem's turn to fail to serve out the match. 6-6 in the 5th, tiebreak will settle it.
  2. peasy23

    Week 1

Often. Bengals miss the FG by miles.
  3. Looked unlikely at 2-0, but Thiem holds to love to take the 4th set 6-3. He has the momentum at the moment.
  4. peasy23

    Week 1

    49ers defense having a mare.
  5. Theim takes the 3rd set 6-4 to keep the match alive.
  6. Another epic arse collapse by Australia.
  7. That's the problem though, there would be no consistency from one group of players to the next. For an example. Played with a guy last week who hit the pin with a pitch from about 70 yards. It dropped right next to the cup, stopping about 6 inches away. Given that was closer than some of the rebounded putts that I've seen folk claim as being in, should we just have declared his pitch shot as holed?
  8. Glasgow has a cross city link which runs from just to the east of high street and joins the lines coming from central just at Shields Road. Afaik it's only used for units heading to and from the depots at Shields and Corkerhill, but in theory could be used to run a direct service from somewhere like Gourock to Edinburgh.
  9. Not for me, I've had folk claiming putts were in when they hit the flag at an angle and bounced well away from the hole. They were never going to drop. Some folk have convinced themselves that lip-outs only started when we were putting with the pins in. It's infuriating, but we've certainly been playing that it has to drop when playing our competitions. I don't see why each group can't have one player designated to take the flag out, and for them to be equipped with sanitiser or whatever is necessary, or just use a gloved hand.
  10. Fkn never at the current rate of relaxation of rules. Don't mind it on long putts, but hate it on short ones.
  11. Great 76 partnership between Tom Curran and Adil Rashid drags England up to 231-9. It's the first time both Currans have been in the same England team on home soil, last time England had two brothers in the team at home were the Hollioakes in 1997.
  12. Hopefully Bottas takes Hamilton out on this restart.
  13. England now 143-7 with 12 overs left.
  14. England toiling with Bairstow and Roy out early, 30-2 from 10 overs, Starc has 1-10 from 5 overs.
  15. Clubs aren't paying players at the moment. Contracts this year only start paying wages when competitive games are underway. Some clubs might be paying wages or covering expenses, but they are under no obligation to do so just now. I want football back, but I don't actually see the point of playing competitively until fans are allowed into games. Re: dressing rooms. I understand what is to happen before and after games, but what about half time? Obviously the players can't all go into the dressing room, and as we head into late autumn and winter they will be standing around getting cold and IMO will be at increased risk of muscle injuries when the game restarts.
  16. Tbf he looks better than some of the regulars who attend the addictions unit that the missus works in.
  17. He was superb last night. Fair play to Billings and Bairstow for making a game of it after England were 54-4.
  18. A Cinderella story, Caddyshack's Danny Noonan will caddy in two practice rounds at the US Open this week, almost 50 years after he caddied at Winged Foot for real. https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2020/09/10/us-open-caddyshack-star-danny-noonan-caddie-winged-foot/
