  1. Dreadful bowling in the last few overs.
  2. Definitely. It would be worth it just to see the implosion of Botham, Boycott etc.
  3. Fell just short of the fielder unfortunately, could have made a huge difference had he gone so early. Interesting poll on Sky during the game, 58% of voters (25,000 voted IIRC) reckoned England would finish 5th or worse in the group, I know they are shit but I don't think even they will manage to lose to Afghanistan & either Sri Lanka or Bangladesh.
  4. Good fightback from Scotland, I was genuinely worried that England could have been heading for 400+.
  5. Bowling was much better against New Zealand.
  6. Warriors ground out a 19-16 win over Ospreys to stay top of the table.
  7. Yep, ballsed up 3 lineout throws and did a Scotlandesque losing the ball when they were camped on Ulster' s goal line, against 13 men by that point.
  8. Ulster have just had a man sent off at Murrayfield against Edinburgh. It was a very stupid bit of play by one of the Ulster centres, at a ruck he got a hold of Ednburgh's number 7 and basically stood him on his head. Ref deemed it as being dangerous enough to warrant a red. Currently 20-14 with 62 minutes played.
  9. Got to hand it to England to be fair, they keep coming up with new and imaginative ways of humiliating themselves every time they play. It took New Zealand just 74 balls to run up the 124 they needed.
  10. Glasgow Warriors win 54-10 against Zebre, superb result given that they have struggled at times during international periods.
  11. 10 pm Monday night, full schedule is on here. Seems to take a very long time with the final not due until 29th March, although I know that's partly down to them having spare days built in through the ko stages so they can fit in games if they are washed out. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/23501452
  12. Steven Finn takes a hat trick with the last 3 balls of the innings as Australia rack up 342-9. Big target for England to try and chase, will be surprised if they get near it tbh. New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 98 runs in the opening match.
  13. Murray wins 6-3, 7-5 to go through. Had to come back from 5-3 down in the second set after double faulting to give Pospisil the break and he then demolished his racket.
  14. Mmm. He says he won't play until his game is "tournament ready". If the recent evidence is anything to go by then it could be a very long wait. Excellent article in the golf digest website about Tiger's woes. http://www.golfdigest.com/golf-tours-news/2015-03/tiger-chipping-yips-jaime-diaz
  15. Shaun the Sheep movie, well it is half term after all. Usual Aardman fare though not in the same league as some of their previous stuff like Wallace and Gromit and the Pirates/Scientists. Enough belly laughs to keep me going. 7/10
  16. England may be poor at the moment, but they are miles better than the Windies. They bowled WI out for just 122 and cruised to a win with 27 overs left and 9 wickets in hand in today's warm up match.
  17. They want to show the open but have spunked all their budget on their new motd deal. 6 nations rugby could be next to go.
  18. Confirmed that Josh Gordon will be suspended for all of the coming year.
  19. I'm sure when Off the Ball did it before there was one where a guy was called Brad by all his workmates, and he thought it was because he looked like Brad Pitt. In truth it was short for bradawl because he was a small boring tool.
  20. One of the labourers at work is called Wolfie, because he is always "howling".
  21. Tiger is back with a bang then. Currently sitting 128nd and last place in the Waste Management Phoenix Open, 20 shots behind the leader.
  22. 20 years ago today since Steve Young threw a record 6 TD passes for the 49ers against the Chargers.
  23. Just reading the daughter's school newsletter, there's a boy in her class called TJay.
  24. Not quite in the same league as some of the guff on here, but at one time I was a shop steward and in the middle of one particular dispute we refused to deal with our own manager, so they brought in another one from a different department to try and negotiate. At the first meeting we had with him he introduces himself and says "I've been airdropped in here to try and broker a deal", which prompted the retort from one of my esteemed colleagues of "Who the f**k do you think you are? Rudolf Hess?"
