  1. Saying that, I watched Goldfinger again recently and I reckon the whole series is a bit dated now. The fight scene between him and Oddjob is one of the worst I've ever seen. Honestly, it's just a bit of shoving. Laughable. The "seduction" of Pussy Galore is obviously pretty horrific too. Dalton's movies were excellent though, properly dark.
  2. She sounds pretty awful. Or at least inconsiderate. This being P and B I need to obviously first of all suggest you boot her firmly in the pie. If that doesn't work. Take one of your pillows (hers sound too soft) and press it firmly over her face when sleeping.
  3. Just use your ability to form words and ask her for the fucking pillows. Infuriating things I do to myself for this pish.
  4. If you'd subbed out either of those words for "bobbins" you'd be fine imo.
  5. Bringing remembrance month (celebrating war month) into football grounds leads us on the slippery slope to going full USA where they have military pageantry and the national anthem at every single game. I'm generally against minutes silence too unless it's major or club related. Having a minutes silence for the death of a royal, or for 9/11 etc is goulish and political.
  6. I've been thinking the same for a couple of seasons now (and Gayfield is closer than Firhill......). Seriously though, tremendous effort from you lads this season. If youse finished top four this season, would that be the highest ever league finish? It must be the best side in a generation though.
  7. Aye Faither Army isn't a swearer at all, and as such I almost never swear around him. I dont enjoy going to the football with him for this reason .
  8. Currently seeing a lassie who does use the word as intended. And that's all I have to say about that. My worst swearing habit is using "as f**k" as an intensifier which I feel atrophies my vocabulary somewhat
  9. Mackay sent some horrible messages that were released by the person he sent them too. The guy who released them, iirc was a horrible wee shite himself who did it to put him in the shit, not through some higher moral reasoning. Mackay didn't actually hurt anyone by sending those messages, so I tend to feel a bit "he who hath not sinned" about the opprobrium coming his way. In answer to @Dons_1988, I don't think he'll ever be allowed to move on so long as he remains in football. He could do all the campaigning and the most soul-bearing mea culpa demanded of him and it wouldn't be enough. Righteous anger is too intoxicating and getting to dump the shit we don't want to see in ourselves on other people is irresistible.
  10. Given that one of the raisons d'etre of the left and right centre backs is to bring the ball out of the back and advance the attack then I'd say Hendry is the more likely starter. Still shitin myself for this game though.....
  11. I was thinking more in a communist era style, like Hungary in the 50's. It didn't seem to do them much harm tbf.
  12. Did you mean to say naturalised or are you saying that the national team needs to be brought under state control?
  13. You think Cooper is more comfortable bringing the ball out from the back than Hendry?
  14. If Tierney doesn't make this I'd want us to go 4-5-1. Having him obviously gives us an attacking overload on the left, but without him do we expect Hendry to power forward? Hopefully KT makes it, but if he doesn't I'd want Clarke to be less dogmatic.
  15. I wonder if folk can be banned just from posting in particular topics........
  16. I wasn't denying that the fans are passionate and demand success, it's just not a massive club in terms of trophies won, as their last major trophy came two years after ours. They've also been a yo-yo club for the last 30 years. If Ross Stewart or Ryan Hardie start doing it at a higher level, then they should be thought about. Hopefully they do kick on.
  17. I actually think you make some good points but this is utterly wild. Their last of their "numerous" titles was won in 1936, and in 2 years time they'll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of their last major trophy. Not a massive club at all. A medium sized club.
  18. Pish. Every time a dog walks toward you wagging its tail it's saying hello. Not once my eye.
  19. Who is Evans? I'm wondering if the continued Gauld exclusion might have more to do with Covid/quarantine than form.
  20. I thought buttery was if you were from the shire/moray and a rowie if you're from the city. Either way. Stick it in the toaster for a wee bit. Life changing.
  21. Really sorry to hear this lads, an absolutely colossal figure from my own footballing life, but nothing compared to what he'll mean to you lot. Commiserations.
  22. Larkhall folk speak this way too, and I suspect the rest of semi-rural Lanarkshire would follow suit.
  23. Good advice. For those wondering why you might have an underground lair in your kitchen, bunker=worktop. I don't know why either.
