  1. Stop going to see shite bands. Seriously though musically some singers are poor live. I went to see a lot if punk bands and they were largely hopeless musically. But the energy was superb.
  2. Aye he's the MSP for Shettleston. Religious nutjob (my devout da likes him) and has the aura of a man who the chaps on "Criminal Minds" would refer to as "the unsub". E.T.A he took Curran's seat at a by-election, but she took it back at the general barely a year later iirc.
  3. @nate slowly coming to the boil on the thread he started to discuss the 78 world cup.
  4. Nice one! Let me know where you go. I may try and get to Rothiemurcus on Sunday. I'm still utter shite at it, but I have ambitions of doing a big trip at some point.
  5. I initially read your post as having something to do with former Pop Idol Will Young.
  6. As a massive fan of both I'm more than happy with this.
  7. Exactly this. I thought it was a bit of a shocker from the ref as when I saw it in real time (albeit on highlights after I knew it was a penalty) it looked fairly obvious Bates had bought it.
  8. Watched a full Barclays game for the first time in years tonight. Man Utd are worse than I expected and for all the hype the boy Fernandes is absolute pish. Couldn't believe some of his decision making tonight. Heart of a pea as well. Chelsea could have won the game in a few different ways, they were a class apart. Aside from a flukey f**k up from Jorginho they'd have won easily. Werner is a guy I keep rooting for, but he can't hit a barn door. McTominay was an absolute warrior today. None of the players look good enough for Man U though. Its weird to see. A final thought. How much fucking analysis doesva game need? The amount of time spent talking about the game afterwards was insane. It really wasn't that interesting. Bonkers.
  9. Pttgoyn for this, but I recall a radio Scotland breakfast presenter saying "we're going to have professor someone or other from the met office to tell us why it's been so wintry of late". It was January.
  10. Watching "the boys" right now and Karl Urban's attempt at a cockney accent is nothing short of disgraceful. Sounds Australian most of the time. He is antipodean himself, so that's not surprising. On the NI accent, actors seem to think that just employing the tones is enough. The sing song aspect of it. Its lazy. The series of "Sons of Anarchy" that was set in NI was unintentionally hilarious due to this.
  11. That's fuckin beautiful. A very eloquent heids-gone. Chapeau @Branch Ton
  12. Some lovely sna' in Aberdeen and more in the shire today. Didn't expect to be cross country skiing so early, but I'll head out tomorrow early to get some miles in. Delightful.
  13. Perfect Scottish cup conditions imo. Pies 3-1 Bridies.
  14. Instead the should spend the money to employ people because you can't put a wee fob on your keys, or carry a pound coin. Or "admin" as you call it. Mintal.
  15. Its the lack of somecunt to complain to that boils (nay, sublimates) my piss. Utterly psychopathic. My heart always sinks a wee bit when I find out Hermes are delivering.
  16. Some lovely sna' here now. Bonkers stuff though. Nae trains and almost nae buses. Drivers had to stay in town last night. Power outages throughout the shire. Mintal. Aye in response to @virginton I get that climate and weather are different but more frequent extreme is one of the results of climate change.
  17. I used to stay near an Asda, and folk would wheel the trolleys to the stairs 300yds away and would carry their shopping from there. The result was always a line of abandoned trolleys. And folk would also leave trolleys around the area. Having to pop a pound in would stop this. Obviously the running man solution would be the best though. @Honest_Man#1, ken that Hermes are notoriously pish, but was the weather not a factor in your late delivery last night?
  18. Genuinely can't wait for this. I'll be as nervous as I was before the Italy game in 2007, but it's two all or nothing games which is superb for the supporters. Great drama.
  19. Fuckin hell. I was just about to report that it seems to be calming down a touch up here. This is mental. I expect the climate change thread to see some traffic over the next few days. This is going to become a more regular occurrence I fear. Buses still seem to be running but every train out of Aberdeen was off after about 5 tonight.
  20. Looking forward to being welcomed by both the Lullaby League and the Lollipop Guild when I step out the house tomorrow morning.
  21. Mental up here right now. The cycle up Great Northern Road was absolute patter. @jagfox BLM does it look like our game is still on? Looks like my milfy date could be off tomorrow too, which would make my lip wobble (no euph).
  22. I did have the thought initially that the Alba Party was a meltdown, but even allowing for that the lad shows desire and stamina to keep fighting.
