The whole thing is a ruse. It's a cover story to hide the fact that this is a celebrity episode of Ground Force. Tent comes down tomorrow. Charlie Dimmock shows the couple round their new water feature. "Police officers" with shovels reveal they are friends and neighbours who helped dig out the weeds. Due to air in September.

Dungeons and dragons, Honour among thieves. I thoroughly enjoyed this. The trailer I saw at the cinema looked good, so we went. The trailer on TV made it look awful. But the final movie was fun, action and adventure with a lot of good comedy thrown in. Chris Pine was well cast and had most of the one liners. Coming out of the cinema the kids were babbling away about the film. So glad we chose this over Super Mario. I've never played the game, and you didn't need to to enjoy this. There might have been references for players in there I didn't see but I don't care. If you are looking for a fun movie to watch, I really do recommend this one.

Off to see the new Dungeons and Dragons tonight. Hoping it'll be good.

Really enjoyed Earthshock. Good return of the Cybermen, good supporting characters, everyone with a bit to do. Oh and the end, Adric no more. With the final credits playing with no music, to bring a tear to a glass eye.

I went to school with a one-L Calum. He pished himself in class at least 4 times as far as I can recall.

Cheers (and thanks to everyone who has been in touch). A lull at the moment. Everything has calmed down this week but will ramp up again next week for his funeral. I keep seeing things like books and TV shows and thinking "Dad will like that. I'll tell him at the weekend" That's when it comes back to me.

Bought my wife a bag of these at the weekend. Four quid!

The Visitation was enjoyable nonsense, and I really enjoyed the Black Orchid - Nyssa finally given stuff to do!

Genuinely enjoyed the whole series. The parole board guy was right - folk always wanting out for a Christmas/birthday. They cannot judge on that.
